Burren Hill Cottage, a newly renovated cosy, modern cottage set on a quiet country road with stunning views of the Burren hills. The perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way. Take a scenic walk over limestone pavement on one of the hiking trails on our doorstep. Enjoy a dip in the Atlantic at Flaggy Shore or visit nearby beautiful beaches. Explore the beautiful Burren, it’s seaside villages, fabulous attractions, great food and traditional Irish music. The space Our bright, airy self- contained modern cottage in the heart of the Burren, is designed for comfort and ease. Downstairs offers a comfortable open plan living and dining area with a modern kitchen, fully equipped for all you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. There are 2 bedrooms - a double bedroom downstairs, and upstairs a spacious bedroom which can be made up with either 2 single beds or a super king-size. The bathroom is also downstairs. Outside, there is a private patio area from which you can relax and watch the sun set after a day of adventure. Free WiFi and onsite parking. Guest access Guests will have full private use of the entire cottage, located within our family property opposite our own home. You’ll also have your own dedicated patio space overlooking the garden – a peaceful spot to relax with a coffee or glass of wine after a day of exploring all the area has to offer. We also have a small organic vegetable garden which you’re welcome to pick some fresh produce when in season. We have a very friendly dog, Rua, who lives in the house with us and a few beehives at the far end of the property (about 100m from the cottage) You are welcome to sample some of our honey during your stay! Easy access to all the Burren’s fabulous attractions such as the majestic Cliffs of Moher (45 mins), The Burren National Park (20 Mins) The Burren Perfumery (15 mins), Aillewee Cave and Birds of Prey centre (20 Mins), Caherconnell Fort ( 20 Mins), and many more. Explore the culture of Galway city just 45mins drive away or day trip to the Aran islands or Connemara. Other things to note This is a rural location, so a car is the easiest way to get around. There is a public bus service from Bellharbour (1.8 km) to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. During the summer, there’s a free local shuttle visiting key attractions. For a bite to eat locally there is Linnane’s Lobster Bar (5km), Hazel Mountain Chocolate (3km) and Linnalla Ice-cream Parlour (8km). Closest towns with grocery shops are Kinvara and Ballyvaughan which are a 15 min drive away. Both have a selection of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and pubs where you can enjoy traditional Irish music. There are farmers’ markets in Kinvara on Fridays 10am – 2pm and Ballyvaughan Saturdays 10am – 2pm. Or stock up on some fresh veg from Annie’s Veg Box or Sweeney’s Fish shop on the Quay (both 5kms) , to cook for yourself in the cottage.
