Our tiny cabin is the perfect romantic setting for your Smoky Mountain getaway. The kitchen is fully equipped and Starlink internet provides a reliable connection for remote work. Take our canoe out for a trip around the lake, then relax in your own private hot tub under the stars after a long day of exploring. The space 400 Square Feet of open-space cabin with an oversized deck to enjoy the surrounding nature. The queen size bed under the large window provides stargazing at night from the comfort of your pillow. Want an even better view? Jump in the hot tub and take in the stars with drink in hand. The small dividing wall between the living room and bedroom provides some space separation and a place to store clothes and settle in, but allows the cabin to feel large and open to maximize the natural light and views of the forest. The living room provides a small sofa (Could be slept on if under 5'10"), electric fireplace, bluetooth speaker, bookshelf (with book sharing!), board games, and a smart TV. The absolute perfect space to relax after a long day on the lake or trails. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes an apartment-sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, stove top, coffee maker, french press, cookware / dishware, and a gas grill out on the deck. Enjoy meals in front of the 6' window overlooking the forest. The WiFi is provided through Starlink and has proven to be very reliable. We average 30 down 12 up. We are in the woods and this is satellite, so conference calls can be choppy at times, but it does work. For streaming, surfing, emailing, phone calls, etc... it's perfect. For those wanting to really disconnect, we have a "Cell Phone Box" that you can use to place your phones in and truly unplug from the world. It might be easier to just turn your phones off, but putting them in a time-out box just seems more fun. This cabin was setup for couples or friends wanting to retreat into their own little cove on the hill. From there, you can relax in tranquility around your firepit, or you can head out for nearby hiking, boating, rafting driving, etc. No matter which you pick, the Buffalo Cove Hideaway is a perfect place to tuck into at the end of the day. Guest access The cabin is just across from West Buffalo Cove on the quiet side of lake Santeetlah. You are just miles from the Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, and Joyce Kilmer. Just 15 minutes away is the town of Robbinsville with restaurants, groceries, and everything else you'd need. The roads are paved right up to the driveway. The driveway is steep but does not require 4WD. In heavy snow or ice, parking at the bottom of the driveway and walking up (500ft) is suggested. Canoe is available and kept within a short driving distance of the cabin (~1.5 miles). Life jacket and paddles are kept at the cabin for your convenience.
