Ocean View overlooks Pismo Beach

Central yet private, your bright sunny space on a hill uniquely offers panoramic whitewater views without ugly power lines! The upscale suite is on the first floor of our home, featuring 1 BR, queen bed, private bath, living room w/sofa queen bed, full kitchen, private entrance, wifi. Enjoy the tourist attractions, then retreat here! Wake up to the sound of the waves! The space You will be on top of the world at this location! We are having great weather here in January! Rent dune buggies, hike, bike, whale watch. Way different from other Grover Beach or Pismo Beach properties, this unique hill setting has underground utilities for unobstructed panoramic views of the ocean all the way from Oceano Dunes to Avila Lighthouse. The home sits on a private cul-de-sac we own, where your car and belongings are safe. You may park for free in the driveway next to our van and entrance gate leading to your suite. It is a little narrow to enter the driveway to park next to the van, so if you prefer, park in front of the main house on the street side of the three-tiered fountain. Free parking for more than one car is available on our private cul-de-sac. Although you're near the tourists and crowd, you are not part of it here! The suite is light and airy with a coastal decor. It features high ceilings and opens out to the covered patio for outdoor dining and sunset observation, in view of a manicured front yard and sweeping whitewater coastal views. The ocean breezes and a hillside natural setting on 1+ acre make air conditioning unnecessary here. A ceiling fan is available in the bedroom if necessary. The front living room has double patio doors which, when opened, provide indoor/outdoor living under an extensive covered patio. You'll enjoy sitting, dining, barbecuing on your front patio as you watch the setting sun. In addition, the lawn is real - no artificial turf here - and the garden is bountiful with flowers. We have roses, geraniums, hydrangeas, and more. There are no flies or mosquitoes at our house. You'll see an occasional frisky lizard. A family of bunnies lives by our back shed. Welcome authors and writers! This is the perfect retreat for finding inspiration for your creative writing or finishing up your book for publication. Why not unwind and create for an uninterrupted tranquil 5 to 10 days? The patio dining table is comfortable for hours of writing, and you'll gaze out at the ocean while you write. BEACH: To access the sandy beach you will take a 7-minute walk to the Butterfly Grove. You will enter at the green "Butterfly Grove" sign. Follow a short trail through the grove to the campsite clearing, turn left, and proceed to the beach. If you prefer to drive, park on the roadside near the green "Butterfly Grove" sign, enter there, and walk straight through the grove to the clearing. Downtown Pismo Beach and its beach access is a slightly longer walk, bike, or short drive, where you can enjoy the Historic Pier, restaurants, and shops. Perhaps you will wish to drive your truck or jeep onto the beach at the West Grand Avenue beach entrance, where there is a designated area for vehicles that is away from the walking beach closer to your suite. Although there's an estuary lake bordering our property - it separates the cities of Pismo Beach and Grover Beach - the slope is steep with a tangle of undergrowth, and there's no trail, so there isn't permission to access it. Enjoy Pismo State Beach and Oceano dunes activities, then escape the crowd and quickly retreat to your private, serene space. Guest access You have a private, separate entrance onto the property and free driveway or private street parking. Your guest suite is on the first level of our home. You will access it through the gate next to the garage at the back of the driveway. (There are photos showing this area.) If you arrive after dark, the entrance area to your suite is security-lit for your safety. Walk through the lighted gate, a small private yard, down a few shallow steps to a Dutch-door entrance. The property is secure and safe. Upon entering the home through your private entrance, you will find 1 bedroom with queen bed, sheets, blanket, pillows and comforter. One full bathroom with sink, a bathtub and shower including bath and beach towels. A full kitchen is stocked with dishes, flatware, glasses, pots & pans, utensils, mixing bowls, coffeemaker, kettle, toaster, and blender. Appliances include gas cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator with ice maker. The kitchen opens up into the coastal decor living room where you will find a sofa with queen-size pullout bed, comforter, ottoman, solid oak bistro table with 4 stools, and flat screen T.V. Wireless internet is available. Outside on the front patio is a glass-top iron table with 4 cushioned chairs for outdoor dining . A propane barbecue is available. There are beach chairs (in front closet) available for sunning in the front yard or beach. Also beach towels are in the cabinet. Enjoy! Other things to note CHILDREN: We love to support families! The guest suite can physically accommodate a maximum of 2 adults (parents) for the BR and 2 children, who will share a queen sofa bed in the LR. "Extra guests" beyond 2 guests would only be young children. Note that each extra guest beyond 2 guests has a $25 charge. Please inform us if you bring children as 1 or 2 extra guests, making a total of 3 or 4 total guests. Other things to note This property is professionally managed and cleaned to provide stellar service for all of our guests! Think of it as a hotel-like experience in an upscale furnished home! If you are staying here for the Annual Classic Car Show (June) or running your high-performance vehicle on the beach, contact us about the rate for optional private off-street parking for your rig. Gardeners show up every other week for a couple of hours to keep the property pristine. The day of the week can vary.
