The space Nestled in a gracious one-half+ acre lot with lush perennial/pollinator gardens and a park-like feel surrounded by mature swaying willow and hemlock trees, you will find serenity and privacy on the property, while also enjoying the beach. Set up an umbrella and chairs and simply relax, swim in the bay, or walk along the beach to downtown Belfast. There are kayaks and stand up paddle boards for your use. The property includes a direct shortcut to the next street which shaves time off the walk to town. Note: direct beach access requires stepping over some low profile rocks; there is also a public access via a two minute walk, as an alternative. This comfy house sleeps up to 8, with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Generous decking includes an open-air gazebo where you can have a cocktail or eat al fresco while enjoying the sea breeze, sailboats, lobster and tug boats, along with diving ospreys and bald eagles showing off regularly. There is a Weber propane grill, off the deck. A special feature of this property is the primary bedroom with king bed and ensuite full bath, on the third floor with a “crow’s nest” view, like no other in Belfast. Luxuriate in this generously sized room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beach/ocean below and Blue Hill to the east across the bay. At the top of the house, a spiral staircase leads to the primary bedroom. Wake up to the sunrise on the horizon, and the water ripples reflecting on the ceiling. 3 additional bedrooms on the 2nd floor share a full bath with separate tub and shower (additional full bath on first floor also available) . One ocean-side bedroom with a queen bed and work desk, another ocean-side bedroom with a very comfortable queen sleeper (or sofa when not in use as a bed), and the 3 rd with a twin trundle bed (2 twin beds). The first floor features a 2-sink kitchen with island, a living room with plenty of comfy seating, a bay window and a large screen TV, and a dining/sitting room with 6-foot table and L-shaped sofa. French patio doors lead from the living room to the deck. Also on the first floor is a laundry/mudroom/full bath. Attached two car garage with an L-shaped driveway allows for extra vehicles without blocking the garage. There is an extra refrigerator/freezer in the garage that is handy for stocking beverages and more. Guest access Guests may have access to the entire house, yard, and beach. Paddle boards and kayaks are available for use at the risk of the guest. The beach is a shared space with other dogs and pedestrians. The access point from the property to the beach is rocky and must be crossed with caution and at the own risk of the guest. There are other launch points nearby for easier access. The garage is available for two car parking. The garage has an extra refrigerator for use. The upper level of the garage is private and not for guest use, however the balcony can be accessed from the staircase outside. The balcony on the second floor in the kids room with the trundle bed is not available for guest use. Other things to note The primary top floor bedroom requires going up a narrow spiral staircase. Note: However very private, there is no door to this bedroom. The top floor private bathroom has a door. The gardens are for enjoyment of the guests. Please don't pick the flowers and leave them for others to enjoy. Please pick up after your pet. Please drive slowly in the neighborhood. Please close the windows when it rains.
