It has been lovingly restored, keeping its rustic charm while featuring a new bathroom and kitchen, the Dairy offers both comfort and character. THE SPACE Inside the cottage is one bedroom with an adjoining bathroom, kitchen with gas stovetop and electric oven (please note there is no dishwasher), an open plan living/dining area and french doors leading out to a sun drenched deck with outdoor bath and shower and rural views. Ideally suited to couples, we can offer a comfy single trundle bed if you wanted to bring a child. For those that want to take advantage of the bounty of local produce in the area, the kitchen is equipped with a 900mm gas stove/oven, a Pod coffee machine with Nescafe pods provided, sandwich press, microwave and good sized refrigerator making it easy to enjoy cooked meals in without the need to go out. The pantry is stocked with all the staples and a few little treats thrown in too! AROUND THE FARM Wake to the sound of birds, chickens and the crow of our resident Rooster Angus. Guests are encouraged to explore the gardens, Veggie patch and our flower farm, with the exception of the main house area located about 50 meters East of the dairy and shed area. Guests are welcome to collect fresh eggs, seasonal herbs, vegetables, and fruits from the garden (subject to availability!) with a basket and secateurs provided for your use. Your hosts Mark and Anneke are happy to show guests around the flower farm if we are around. Please note the flowers are seasonal! Our main flower periods are Late August - early October and then Mid December - March. So if you are wanting to experience the lovely flower beds those would be the best times to book. Unwind by the fire with a book, or relax on the sun-drenched deck to enjoy the golden afternoon light. Have a game of bocce or Finska on the pitch, roast marshmallows over the fire pit which will be stocked with wood, and enjoy the starry night sky. For the adventurous, a short stroll through the paddock leads to a pebbly creek, perfect for dipping your toes. The dam is stocked with silver perch for fishing enthusiasts, and we have an oval perfect for games of cricket or golf.
