Accommodation - Welcome to our cozy three-bedroom cottage, a delightful retreat that invites you to unwind and reconnect with nature. The cottage features a warm sitting room, dining area, and a charming verandah. Each furnished, air-conditioned bedroom measures 140 square feet and includes an attached bathroom. Gulmohar and Mandhaaram, our nature-inspired rooms, feature a Japanese low-floor wooden cot with a queen-sized mattress, enhancing your connection to the serene surroundings. The Nest, our third bedroom, offers a normal double bed, providing a cozy and comforting stay. Step outside to enjoy our lovely veranda, where you can sip your morning coffee or soak in the serene views. For those sunny days, the open terrace provides a peaceful spot to bask in the sunlight or enjoy a quiet moment of relaxation. ✨ Maanasam offers two accommodation options to choose from: ⭐ Entire Villa: Enjoy full privacy in our spacious 3-bedroom villa — perfect for families and groups. ⭐ Individual Rooms: Prefer a smaller stay? Book a private room with access to all shared spaces. Location Overview - Conveniently located just minutes from the town of Manikkadavu, our farmstay is nestled in the Kannur District of Kerala, India. Positioned at the foothills of the Western Ghats, at an elevation of around 3,000 feet (914 m) above sea level, and close to the Kodagu range of Karnataka, Manikkadavu is surrounded by lush evergreen forests of Kerala and Karnataka. Manikkadavu is approximately 15 km north of Iritty town and 56 km northeast of Kannur town, with the nearest airport, Kannur International Airport, just 51 minutes away (34.8 km). Guest access Guests can enjoy exclusive access to the cottage, open terrace, garden spaces, and the tranquil farm throughout their stay. Other things to note Culinary Experience - Indulge in a delightful complimentary breakfast, showcasing a selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Experience the authentic flavors of the countryside with our local cuisine, crafted from spices sourced directly from the region. Throughout your stay, enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and an assortment of snacks, including biscuits, banana chips, tapioca chips and jaggery coated banana chips. As a special touch, savor a warm welcome drink of ‘Rasam’, our traditional South Indian soup to warm you up during the rainy season, or refresh yourself with ‘Moru (buttermilk)’ to cool you down in the summer. We honor the joy of birthdays and wedding anniversaries of our guests and as a token of appreciation we present our guests with a cake and a thoughtful gift. For a delightful dining experience, we kindly request that lunch and dinner orders be placed at least a day in advance. Please note that the meals will be charged accordingly. Dining Area: Fridge, kettle, toaster, oven toaster griller (OTG – Bajaj Majesty 600 QT), coffee maker, juicer, egg boiler. Bone china plates, glass plates, mud plates, cups, mud cups, mugs. Cutlery: spoons, forks, knives. Serving utensils: casserole, jug, bowls, and other essentials. Drinking Water: Water purifier. Purified water is stored in a kuja (clay water pot), which keeps it naturally cool through evaporation. Note: No gas stove or induction is available. Light heating can be done using the OTG. Cleaning Services: Daily housekeeping. Laundry and Ironing service - additional charge (washing machine and dryer available) Safety and Security: Fire Extinguisher, CCTVs surrounding the cottage. Terms and Policies - Mode of Payment (at our farmstay): We embrace simplicity – cash or digital payments only; cards are not accepted. Early check-in and late check-out will be subject to availability. Normal occupancy permits maximum 6 people. Extra guest arrangements (including bedding) are limited. Kindly contact us in advance to confirm availability and suitability based on your group size. Children up to 6 years old can stay free of charge with their parents. Children aged 6 to 12 years will be charged Rs.750 per night. Pick up and drop from Kannur International Airport or nearby area will be arranged at cost. Kindly allow us up to 30 min before checkout to inspect the appliances and facilities. Visitors are not permitted in guest rooms. All standard policies pertaining to the hotel/hospitality industry are applicable as per the government laws.
