The space ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE TIMBER: Part of the log is a Memory Corner - a place dedicated to Fritz Hartmann (1873-1929), a painter who fell in love with the Giant Mountains landscape and its changing moods. He was the one who built the Roubenka and imprinted her with a sense of beauty, light, and honest craftsmanship. In the corner you will find copies of his paintings depicting mountain plains, quiet valleys and snow-capped slopes of the Giant Mountains. There is also brief information about his life and the history of the cottage itself, which we have collected with the help of the Krkonoše Museum in Vrchlabí. This place serves as a small tribute to a man who not only painted the landscape, but actually lived it. We believe that in his paintings and in the walls of this cottage you will feel the same peace and inspiration as he found here. Cottage Amenities SEDNICE is equipped with a wireless android projector with phone mirroring options. So if you bring your streaming platform, you will enjoy it at 230cm diagonal. You plug your playstation with an HDMI cable. There is also a basic TV watching package, which you can watch from a spacious comfortable sofa and a fireplace stove in a pleasant warmth (we provide a children's safety gate on request). There are also board games. FINNISH SAUNA: Discover a unique Finnish sauna built on the premises of our original apiary. The interior, where the honeycomb still smells gently, has been complemented by authentic decorations and healing musical instruments that will calm your mind. BATHING BARREL: Our outdoor bathing barrel is also part of the real atmosphere of the log cabin. Just heat it up with wood and then enjoy the whirlpool hot tub and the crackling fire under the open sky overlooking the ski slope. THE KITCHEN is fully equipped with utensils for regular cooking + appliances (oven, hob, micro-wave, toaster, toaster, hand blender with whip attachments, dishwasher), there is also a coffee nook with a Delonghi lever coffee maker for ground coffee. The entire staff of the cottage can be seated at the large table without any problems, so you can enjoy good food and drinks nicely together. EXCURSIONS, ATTRACTIONS, ENTERTAINMENT: For lovers of timbered houses, we recommend a walk to Luisina valley (2.3 km), which is characteristic of this type of building. There's really no shortage of nature walks. There are a number of forest paths of various distances around the cottage... just choose the difficulty. Film Apalucha is only 3.5 km away. In Dolní Dvůr there is the church of St. Joseph with a unique chime that plays different melodies characterizing the four seasons and Christmas (500m). Attractive activities include: horse riding in Lánov, sightseeing flights and the Lánov Airport flight school, the newly opened Aquapark in Vrchlabí, a visit to the newly built Krkonoše Museum in Vrchlabí, around which there are beautiful gardens, sports fields and a park. Next to our log cabin there is the possibility of renting a multifunctional playground with an artificial surface, which is equipped for tennis, volleyball, football and mini football. Winter season: The big advantage is that from the cottage you can go straight to the equipped ski resort Ski Family Dolní Dvůr (100m), which offers a ski school for the youngest, ski rental and ski bar. Other ski resorts are within a short driving distance. Dolní Dvůr is also a good starting point for cross-country skiers. You can also visit snowtubing in Vrchlabí.
