Come visit this one-of-a-kind Historic Firehouse in Maywood, IL for a stay you will never forget! And yes, there are not one but two fire poles (non-functional). Built in 1904, the Firehouse was the first Fire Station built in Maywood. The Firehouse has now been fully renovated with modern amenities, while still honoring it’s past with restored features and historic photography throughout. The total space is over 2,000sq ft, with multiple seating and sleeping accommodations throughout. The space The living space is an open concept floorplan with lots of natural light. There are two large bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms. The street-level space within The Firehouse is a separate creative studio available for rentals with a separate entryway. Guest access Guests of Firehouse 511 will have the entire living space to themselves (2nd and 3rd floor "Loft). No one will enter or interact in the living space. The building has two distinct spaces; the living space, and a separate creative studio on the street level. You may cross paths with a studio renter when entering or leaving. Other things to note While not often, there may be instances where the street-level creative studio will be rented or operating during your stay. There is no crossover between the two spaces although you may cross paths when entering or leaving the studio. Parties are not allowed in either of the others space so there will not be any disruption. While the two fire poles have been preserved, they are non-functional and for viewing only.
