Built in 2022 and surrounded by sweeping, long-range views of Nantahala National Forest, this thoughtfully designed mountain retreat offers true privacy, peaceful surroundings, and outdoor experiences from nearly every corner of the property. Begin the morning on the rocking-chair porch, explore more than a mile of private trails, grill dinner outdoors, and end the day with a hot tub soak, a refreshing cold plunge, or a fire beneath an incredibly dark mountain sky. No neighbors. No noise. Just you, the mountains, and all the space you need. TWO STAYS, ONE PRIVATE RETREAT This reservation includes both: * Graceland Mountain Cottage—a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath home with a full kitchen, open living spaces, and a private lower-level suite * The Alante—a private onsite RV guest suite with a queen bed, children’s bunk, full bathroom, kitchen, WiFi, TV, and outdoor grill This flexible setup is ideal for extended families, two couples, wedding guests, or friends traveling together who want shared experiences without feeling crowded. Please note that Alante is available only as part of a Graceland Mountain Retreat reservation and is not rented separately. GRACELAND MOUNTAIN COTTAGE The main cottage is warm, modern, and immediately comfortable—the kind of place where you drop your bags and exhale. The home offers three queen bedrooms, comfortable gathering areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and thoughtful amenities for relaxed mountain living. The open-concept main level makes it easy to prepare meals, reconnect with your group, and wind down beside the electric fireplace after a day of exploring. It has its own exterior entrance, reached by steps along the side of the home leading to the lower deck. Whether used by family members who want their own space, friends who prefer a little separation, or guests looking for a quieter place to unwind, this suite offers the rare luxury of togetherness without crowding. THE ALANTE: THE PRIVATE RV GUEST SUITE Located onsite, Alante adds another private sleeping space and a memorable glamping-style experience without sacrificing everyday comforts. The RV is thoughtfully equipped with its own kitchen, full bathroom, entertainment, and sleeping areas. It is an excellent option for a couple, parents with children, or guests who would appreciate having a separate space of their own. It is the perfect place to spend an afternoon outdoors or gather as the sun begins to set. Let the dogs run. Let the kids roam. Let yourself breathe. THE FIRE PITS Guests can choose from several outdoor gathering areas: 1. A backyard fire pit near the cottage 2. An upper fire pit near the Well House and trailhead 3. A lower fire pit near the covered gazebo Each location offers its own atmosphere, whether you are gathering close to the house, enjoying long-range views from the upper property, or settling in beneath the gazebo lights. THE VIEWS No matter where you are on the property, the mountains are with you. From the upper fire pit, you can look deep into Nantahala National Forest. Similar views can be enjoyed from the lower gazebo, hot tub, decks, trails, and cottage windows. The retreat borders more than 100 acres of protected Native American land, creating a rare sense of privacy and uninterrupted nature. At golden hour, the mountains soften into layers of blue. To preserve the relaxing setting for everyone, please keep noise to a respectful level at all times. Parties and disruptive behavior aren’t permitted, and we kindly ask that you be mindful of neighbors and quiet hours starting at 10pm. Extended Stays Reservations of 28+ days are subject to additional review. Stays exceeding 90 days require a separate agreement. Security deposit, mid stay cleaning fee and trash pick up fees may apply depending on the length of stay. Last-Minute Booking Verification For reservations made **within 7 days of arrival**, additional verification is required to protect our homeowners and guests. This includes: * A clear photo of a government-issued ID * A full facial selfie of the primary guest holding that ID (must match the reservation name) Please note: Last-minute bookings made within 7 days of check-in are limited to a maximum stay of 28 days. Reservations exceeding 28 days are not permitted under this booking window. Subject to security screening for verification and authenticity.
