The space The apartment has a delightful view of the blue sea of Ilhéus, Pedra de Ilhéus, Pedra de Itapitanga and the Port of Ilhéus, where by boat trips carried out by accredited companies in the city, you can get to know the exuberance of marine life that surrounds this environmental reserve protected by law. Our apartment is located 5 minutes from the main tourist attractions of the Historic Center of Ilhéus, such as the incredible Church of São Jorge, from the distant year of 1556, the beautiful Cathedral of São Sebastião, more recent, from 1967, the Vesúvio, the House of Jorge Amado and the Bataclan. The apartment is a few kilometers from the most beautiful beaches in the city, in the traditional Boa Vista neighborhood. Just down the street, you will arrive at Avenida Soares Lopes and its beautiful waterfront, with Portuguese stone sidewalks and several squares with kiosks with snack bars, bars, sushi, barbecue, açaiterias and a children's playground. In the Center, I recommend visiting the Barrakitika bar and restaurant! An iconic bar in the city, with the motto “Where everyone meets,” a bar where live music happens frequently and you can meet beautiful people and enjoy one of the best cuisines in the entire city. I recommend the fish bait, the grilled rump cap and the calzones! You won't regret it! Just ahead is the famous Cathedral of São Sebastião, inaugurated in 1967, next to the historic Vesúvio Restaurant, the PontChic ice cream parlor, two commercial points with immense historical value in the city. Just ahead is the beautiful Municipal Theater building, and next to it is Casa Jorge Amado, where historical objects from the life of the honorary Bahian writer are kept. On the back street, on Avenida 2 de Julho, is the historic Bataclan, which preserves part of the story told in Jorge Amado's books. Just ahead is Cristo Beach, where you can rent kayaks to paddle and meet the folk figure of Count Badaró, a gentleman who has lived in a house on the edge of the Bay for decades, renting kayaks and sailing. It's worth having a chat with him, and observing the beautiful view of Pontal Bay and the Jorge Amado Semi-Stayed Bridge. On the other side of Pontal Bay is Avenida Lomanto Júnior, also paved in Portuguese stone, with bars and restaurants by the sea, where you can find a vibrant nightlife in bars such as the famous Fachada. Behind Pontal Bay is the iconic neighborhood of Sapetinga, where the meeting of 03 rivers takes place, and you can see artisanal fishermen working and a sunset that is considered one of the most beautiful in all of Bahia! There you can get to know and stroll along the edge of Sapetinga, whether in the morning or late afternoon, it is always a delight. There are coffee shop options, such as Fino Grão, and a Pub Bar called Jardim Secreto, undoubtedly two very good options to enjoy Sapetinga!
