The space Welcome to Makaria’s Mermaid Beach Hideaway, your ideal getaway just minutes from the best of Myrtle Beach! This spacious and stylish vacation home sleeps up to 8 guests comfortably, featuring 2 cozy bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with two queen beds. There is queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. Unwind in the living room with a 65-inch smart TV, perfect for movie nights, or catch your favorite shows on one of the TVs in both bedrooms—just log in with your own streaming accounts and relax. Cook up your favorite meals in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with all the essentials including a coffee maker, blender, pots and pans, and full-size appliances. Enjoy your meals at the breakfast bar, the dining table, or step outside to the small private backyard patio for open-air dining. Whether you're planning a relaxing beach day or an exciting night out, Makaria’s Mermaid Beach Hideaway is the perfect home base for your next Myrtle Beach adventure. Guest access PARKING: You will have access to 2 parking spaces (passes provided in unit and also available by digital download if you’d like to print at home) and a code to access the community pool, which is less than 30 feet from the front porch of the home. For those with disabilities, parking is accessible, as there are parking spaces and ramps leading to the home. POOL: The community pool is shared with other residents and guests within the HOA. It is open from 8am-11pm. It is open year round. The pool is not heated. You will need an access code for entry. You will need to provide your own beach/pool towels. No glass of any type within the pool enclosure at any time. ACCESSIBILITY: Please be advised that the main living areas (family room, dining, kitchen, and one bathroom) are located on the bottom main level; the two bedrooms and second bathroom are located on the second level, requiring guests to utilize the staircase to access them. SECURITY/CAMERAS: The home has a Ring front doorbell camera, one Ring camera in the back that points to the back gate and only shows the back gate to the property, and one Ring camera that is pointed at the back side common area. These cameras are motion sensitive. Removing, covering, disabling, or otherwise tampering with the security cameras is prohibited. There is also a Ring chime installed that will alert you if the front or back door are opened. CPI Security system, a third party security company, monitors for emergencies and is the user interface for the following home integrations: CPI security monitors the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors at all times. Within the house the CPI security panel (located in the kitchen) manages emergency weather alerts, the thermostat, and the front door lock. Please do not interfere with the security panel during your stay, as it is present for the safety of the guests and the property. There are NO INSIDE CAMERAS. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT We cannot offer late check-outs due to the cleaner’s schedule and needed turn around time requirements. Check-out is strictly enforced at 10am on your scheduled departure day. If you are interested in an earlier check-in time, please contact us to inquire. We cannot guarantee that this will be an option every time, as it is entirely dependent on the cleaning services’s scheduling and availability. If the cleaners provide us with confirmation that they have in fact completed the cleaning early, we are happy to offer the following early check-in rates (paid directly through the ArBnB app). 1 hour early check-in: $25.00 2 hour early check-in: $50.00 Other things to note CLEANING: Our house is professionally cleaned after every guest stay. There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. KITCHEN: We provide a full kitchen with essential cookware, however, for the health and safety of our guests we do NOT provide any perishable consumable items like oil/drinks/coffee, etc. There is a Walmart grocery store 1 block away where guests can stock up on food items. PETS: Please no pets of any type allowed due to HOA regulations. The discovery of pets at the property will subject the guest to early removal and additional fees. NO SMOKING: No smoking of any type in the home, this includes electronic devices. The discovery of smoking in the property will subject the guest to additional fees. PROPERTY DAMAGE: Damage to the property or items located within the property occurring during a guest’s stay will incur an additional damage or replacement charge. KIDS and CHILDREN: We are family oriented, and want to be a welcoming place to families with children of all ages. Please be aware that given the limited amount of storage we have available, we are unable to provide a crib or a pack and play for younger children. As we are parents ourselves, we understand that the little ones might get into some mischief. Please be mindful of crumbs and food droppings that fall on the floor. This may have the potential to attract insects, so we ask that you keep an eye out to make sure that does not happen. We understand that children also like to get into some mischief when it comes to how they behave within a space. Please be vigilant for any damage that children might cause (e.g. drawing on the walls or any fixture, damaging furniture, damaging appliances, etc.). Damage occurring during a guest’s stay will incur an additional damage or replacement charge. PESTS and INSECTS: We employ a pest management company for the control and mitigation of pests and insects. They arrive on a quarterly basis. We also utilize bait stations on an ongoing basis. Be aware these will be found on and in the property. However, please be mindful of the climate of the area; this is an area with high humidity and semi tropical weather patterns, which allows bug populations to thrive. There is also human population density that rises particularly due to tourism. The combination of both leave the potential for there to be insects and pests at any given outdoor and indoor location throughout the city/county/state. The palmetto bug is extremely common in South Carolina, even as far as to say they are a South Carolina fact of life. You are highly likely to encounter the palmetto bug either outside or inside of any building, including the house. Palmetto bugs are immune to pest control and treatment for them is in attempt to mitigate their presence, but they cannot be eradicated, as they are abundant in the area. These insects are harmless and primarily are outdoor dwelling, living in trees and mulch. They are in search of water and shelter. They often will appear when it is dark. It is important to note that they are frequently spotted even in clean and well maintained buildings and homes, as they are fast and can gain access via very small entry points. By making a reservation with us you are acknowledging the presence of these insects, including on or in the property, and acknowledge that per this agreement there will be no refunds given if bugs are found during your stay. Other insects that may be found outside as well as inside of any building, including the home, are mosquitos, ants, beetles, earwigs, spiders, cicada, oak leaf mites, and other species. Please help do your part at ensuring that this does not become a problem by keeping doors and windows closed and by properly cleaning and disposing of food items, avoiding crumbs or food droppings on floors or on furniture, and other sources that may attract the local pest population. POTENTIAL DISTURBANCES: While we strive to provide a peaceful and enjoyable stay, please be aware that we cannot guarantee a completely noise-free environment. Guests may experience occasional disturbances due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to: -Nearby construction or renovation projects -Landscaping or lawn maintenance -Utility work or road repairs -Tourists or other residents in the area -Neighboring properties or community events -Weather-related noise (e.g., heavy rain, wind) We make every effort to inform guests in advance of any known major disruptions, but please understand that unexpected or unscheduled activities may occur. By booking, you acknowledge that temporary disturbances are not grounds for cancellation or refund unless otherwise specified by Airbnb’s policies. SECURITY and SAFETY: Please be mindful of your surroundings and of your personal property. Myrtle Beach is a tourist heavy area with people coming from all over the country and the world. Please make sure to lock the doors of the home. Close and lock the windows when you are not present. Keep your cars locked. Keep valuables in a safe location that is not visible or easily accessed by anyone who should not access it.
