Long Lake Cottage is on a 10 mph lake that is a pretty peaceful spot to relax. Enjoy bonfires, kayaking, fishing, and grilling at our place. Long Lake is a part of the Pigeon River chain that you can kayak along through multiple lakes. Less than 10 minutes from Angola (Trine University, Pokagon State Park, groceries, etc.). We hope you enjoy your stay! We have a strict cancellation policy, but we will refund you 100% of your stay if you do need to cancel 14 days before your arrival. Whether you’re unwinding by a crackling bonfire, gliding across the water in one of our kayaks, or reeling in your next big catch, our cottage offers an unforgettable retreat. From the expansive deck that stretches the length of the house, take in stunning views of the lake and savor your meals with a backdrop of serene waters. Our screened-in covered porch provides a cozy space to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening drink while staying protected from the elements. The lake is teeming with excellent fishing opportunities. Spend your days casting a line or explore the shoreline where you might spot turtles basking in the sun. With direct access to the lake, you can easily launch the kayaks or use our registered 14-foot rowboat for a leisurely paddle. There are 5 kayaks on the rack, and you may choose any 4 of the 5 to use, which are included with your booking. The rowboat has oars, but if you have a trolling motor that you would like to bring, you are more than welcome to. Conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Angola, you’ll find Trine University, Pokagon State Park, restaurants, and grocery stores just a short drive away. The Space: Our allergen-free home (no pets) features a charming two-bedroom, one-bath cottage with an open-concept living area that seamlessly connects to the deck. Enjoy the use of a charcoal grill and fire pit, with some charcoal and some wood provided for your convenience. We also supply several life jackets; just make sure to choose the right size for your safety. Guest access You will have exclusive access to the entire house.
