The space Each of our 4 bungalows is thoughtfully tucked away in different parts of the jungle so you can enjoy your own private space with balcony, offering breathtaking views. From here, you can experience the island’s wildlife up close, including monkeys, while waking and falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle. The Firefly Jungle Bungalow is designed for comfort and ease, featuring a modern, air-conditioned bedroom with a king-size bed, a private hot-water shower, an outdoor kitchenette, and free private parking. The kitchenette is equipped with essentials (fridge, plates, bowls, and cutlery) so you can comfortably enjoy meals on the balcony. A coffee plunger, filter coffee, tea, water, and glassware are also provided, so you can ease into each day with a cup of coffee/tea or unwind with an evening drink while enjoying the peace and quiet. Guest access Important note about access Please note that this bungalow is accessed via approximately 130 uphill steps through the jungle. The walk takes around 2-3 minutes at an easy pace and is part of the peaceful, elevated setting. 🚫 It is therefore, unfortunately, not suited for those with limited mobility, small children, or heavy luggage. If travelling with heavier luggage, these can be safely stored at the main residence and essentials packed in backpacks. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please let us know. The property is accessible by car or scooter, and we recommend having your own transport or using Grab to get around. Other things to note 🌿 Our jungle bungalows are best suited for: • Nature lovers • Those who value peace, privacy, and an authentic experience • Guests comfortable with outdoor elements 🚫 But may not suit: • Guests expecting a fully sealed, hotel-style environment • Those seeking luxury or resort-style amenities • Anyone uncomfortable around insects or tropical wildlife Nature & Surroundings We take care to keep each bungalow clean and comfortable, but the jungle is very much part of the experience. You may encounter insects, spot geckos, bats and other wildlife and hear the natural sounds of the forest. For many, this is part of the appeal, though it can feel unfamiliar if you’re not used to it. We’re not a typical resort or hotel-style stay - there’s no on-site restaurant or pool. This is intentional, helping us keep the environment quiet, low-impact, and as close to nature as possible. That said, there are several excellent nearby pool restaurants where guests can swim for free or for a small fee. Lamai Beach and Silver Beach (Crystal Bay) are also close by and ideal for swimming.
