Description

Tucked in a funky, artistic mountain community, this cozy guest suite has a private entrance and patio overlooking a creek and shared wooded yard. Wander dirt roads to trails, parks, and a café with live music, gourmet food, and local flavor. Friendly neighbors, beautiful scenery , and adventure all around—hike, bike, climb, fish, or ski from your door or a short drive away. Just 20 min to Boulder, 30 to Rocky Mtn NP, and 45 to Eldora Ski Resort past stunning alpine scenery. The space Nestled beneath our hillside home, this charming ground-level apartment is a nook in nature. You'll be surrounded by trees, birdsong, and the gentle sounds of a nearby creek. We live upstairs (with Tupelo, our friendly Border Collie mix!) and are happy to offer local tips—or give you all the space you need. Enter via your own private patio and sliding glass door into a bright and inviting main room with a kitchenette, comfy couch, dining table and chairs, and big windows with serene views. Down the hall, you’ll find a ¾ bathroom and a cozy queen bedroom with closet, dressers, and shelves for your belongings. The kitchenette is fully stocked for light cooking, with a 2-burner cook top, medium fridge/freezer, microwave, convection/toaster oven, crock pot, and tea kettle and Percolator for that perfect cup of coffee or tea. Your private patio is ideal for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or an evening drink while listening to birds and watching for deer, foxes, and other fun visitors. Whether you're looking for a restful hideaway or a base for adventures, this mountain home invites you to settle in and feel right at home. Guest access Guests can park in the shared driveway and walk around the shared yard/property. Guests have a private patio and entrance via the sliding glass door. Other things to note - Once you enter into our canyon you won't have service until you connect to our home wifi. So take screen shots, download, or print directions (tips in house manual) AND pictures of the driveway (in check in section of app) to help you not miss our driveway. :) - I'm a teacher at Jamestown Elementary, 5 minutes from the house. Check-in is set at 4pm since I work until 3. However I try whever possible to go home during my lunch/plan break (11:45 am-1 pm) to get the place ready so you can check in early. When guests leave the place tidy after check-out, it definitely helps with me being able to offer early check-in for everyone. So thank you for your help with this. I will always let you know as soon as the space is ready. Still, feel free to let me know in advance if early check in is something you are really hoping for and I will do my best. - All Wheel Drive and/or All Season Tires are required during winter months (Oct-April). Lefthand Canyon Rd is plowed by county. Jamestown roads are plowed by town locals (may take a day to get plowed if after a really big dump). Our street (15th St) can get icy but it’s rarely an issue with AWD and all season tires. - There's a short section of 1-way road from the point you turn onto 15th street until our driveway. Our street has super minimal traffic, so it's rarely an issue. But if you happen to encounter a neighbor coming toward you, one car just backs up to the nearest pullout/driveway and the other easily passes. - Your ground level guest suite is directly below the second floor level that we live on. Although, we try and keep a quiet profile, it’s possible you may hear some everyday noises that are often typical of downstairs units (footsteps, muffled voices, the occasional blender, etc). We work a 7:30am-4pm ish schedule. Don't be shy to communicate during your stay, if you ever feel the need to ask us to turn the TV down or something like that. We are communicators. During your stay, please keep an open line of communication so we can ALL have the best experience! Thank you! We do have bears in the area. Please keep vehicles clean of food and keep doors locked. If you see a bear, make noise and they will run off. :) Our town has a fantastic water plant that serves our taps with snowmelt creek water from James Creek.
