Description
Hainrode is an idyllic village in the South Harz Biosphere Reserve. The access road ends here, so there's no through traffic! Our camp is located at the end of the village, surrounded by old orchards with stunning views of meadows and forests. There are numerous hiking trails, as well as great opportunities for leisurely cycling or mountain biking to explore the countless trails. The space The approximately 12m² caravan from the 1970s was lovingly renovated and converted into a tiny house in 2024/25. There is a kitchenette with a sink, gas stove, coffee machine, kettle, and refrigerator. Opposite is a table with seating for two. For relaxation, there is a sofa that can also be converted into an extra bed (1 x 2m) upon request. The "bedroom" is located in the front section and features a double bed measuring 1.40 x 2m. The wooden terrace with a table and chairs is a super cozy space with plenty of privacy. The shower and separate toilet are located in a separate wooden hut next to it. The shower has a traditional wood boiler, meaning the shower water is heated by a wood-burning stove! The toilet is a dry seperation odorless toilet. There is also a urinal. The historic old town of Stolberg, as well as the Joseph's Cross, are among the highlights of the Harz Mountains. The famous high-proof Klar schnapps comes from Nordhausen, and the steam-powered Harz Narrow Gauge Railways also depart from here all the way up to the Brocken! For swimming enthusiasts, there are three small lakes in the area. Stops & Rest: Within a 5km radius, there are four good restaurants with beer gardens and authentic, local cuisine. The Hainröder Dorfcafé is open every Sunday during the summer (14:00 - 18:00) ! Shopping: There is a small village shop within easy walking distance (only open for a few hours). Otherwise, everything your heart desires is a 15-minute drive away in Sangerhausen or Roßla. Arriving by public transport: Take the train to Sangerhausen or Bennungen. Please contact us for further details about bus connections, as there are only few buses per day and none in weekends! Personal pick-up can be arranged.
