The space Located on the Taylor Creek canal system on the north end of Lake Okeechobee, this cozy and welcoming studio is perfect for a couple or a small family looking to unwind. Relax on the porch and soak in the tranquil lake atmosphere, or take advantage of fishing the Great Lake Okeechobee, biking the nature trails, or taking in the local rodeo events. Inside, you’ll find modern amenities paired with charming rustic touches, making it the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle while staying comfortable. The decor may change from time to time but, the same atmosphere is maintained. Why stay at a hotel when here you have much more! Kitchen fully stocked, washer/dryer, 500sqft sun deck, 850sqft covered dock to grill fish from or just relax and take in the serenity. Private parking for your truck and boat included. Out back the canal system is loaded with great fishing & scenery. We are located about 5 minutes from Lake Okeechobee's Taylor Creek lock and the best fishing and boating spots. Minutes from local ramps as well. The Agri-Civic Center is just 5 minutes from the house as well if you want to take in the local rodeo events. Our dock house is well appointed and very comfortable for up to four guests to relax after the day’s activities. We start you with two days supply of coffee/tea, laundry supplies, and various other toiletries. If more items are needed, there is both a Walmart and multiple supermarkets close by. It is fully furnished with WiFi. This property is enforced by city ordinances not to exceed the maximum occupancy allowed. No more than 4 guests or visitors in total at all times. We reserve the right to terminate your stay with no refund if you exceed the maximum occupancy of 4. This includes visitors. BOAT PARKING: There is a boatlift available for a bass boat (only), if you choose to use the lift there is a charge of $10.00 per day. There is also a storage space available that is shared between both main house and dock house guests. Please note that you will be responsible for any damage to the equipment or the lift space. You are free to use the covered boat parking at no charge without the use of the lift. We are not responsible for any damage to your boat while using said space. **Please be aware that there are two units on this property and if you so choose to use the covered slip, it will be made available to the guest who requests it first when booking. This will avoid any conflict among guests. There is also uncovered dockside space available as well. There is designated private parking for the dock house. Inside the gate on the East side of the property is space for one boat and a vehicle. An additional vehicle can be parked in front of the gate on the outside of the fence. If more than one boat will be brought to the property, please advise in advance so we can determine how parking will proceed for the additional vehicles. Tropical Environment Disclaimer: Our property is located in Florida’s lush and vibrant ecosystem which is part of a tropical climate zone. It is possible, but not likely, to see snakes, lizards, exotic reptiles, vermin, iguanas, raccoons, feral cats, alligators, non-native primates and other pets, wild animals as well as all kinds of bugs that are common in this type of climate. Per AirBnb's listing requirement, we are required to notify you of the possibility of encountering a dangerous animal on this property. We have a pest control service to deal with some critters. If you come across any of them, you must contact us via AirBnB's Direct Message system immediately. We will work to take timely action to deal with anything that you may discover both inside our house and outside our property. Many of these creatures are free-roaming. * Please note: The property has a private deck overlooking the water. As with most Florida waterways, wildlife such as birds, turtles, otters, manatee, and occasionally alligators may be present. For everyone’s safety, swimming or entering the water is strictly prohibited. Guests must supervise children and pets at all times when near the water. By booking, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk and agree that the property owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or incidents that may occur in or around the water. * We can't control the weather, traffic, neighbors, Florida Bugs, or anything unexpected inside or on outside of the home. Please plan your trip accordingly. * We leave some cleaning supplies and some extra garbage bags to help guests avoid excessive cleaning fees. Any items in our pantries are complimentary to use but please do not take them. You are welcome to use what you need. * There will be an additional BBQ grill cleaning fee if the grill or surrounding areas of the home are left excessively dirty. These fees can start from $100 to $500 extra. Depending on how much longer it takes to clean or replace damaged items. * All guests must be comfortable with climbing stairs. There are railings on the stairs but, no guards or gates on either floor. * Minors can not be left unattended in the home. * 4 guest capacity at all times. No parties or large gatherings of any kind! No smoking inside the home. Please do not disturb the neighbors. * We do not have control of anything that occurs on neighboring properties and cannot be held liable for their maintenance of the same. * 2 pet maximum limit, additional cleaning fee of $100 We are not responsible for unwatched children, service animals, or guests that end up in the water unexpectedly. Guest access Guests self check-in to their private entrance on the North side of the dock house with a door code provided 24 hours prior to arrival. You have access to a secluded upper deck/patio space as well as the common area beneath the dock house, that is shared with any guests of the main house which is also available for rent, that provides a sink, refrigerator, and grill to prepare and dine on your day’s catch. We ask that there is no cooking or storing of fish in the dock house. Any catch can be kept in the refrigerator in the common area. This is a shared refrigerator with shelves marked main house and dock house, respectively. House Rules • No Refunds: Once your booking is confirmed, it is non-refundable under all circumstances. • No Parties or Large Gatherings: Our home is meant for relaxing and reconnecting, not for hosting events or celebrations. • Respect the Property: Help us maintain our dock house’s charm by treating is with care. * We ask that there is no cooking or storing of fish in the dock house. Any catch can be kept in the refrigerator in the storage area beneath the dock house. * No food is to be left out ever either inside or outside. Being on a lake, food left out will attract insects and may cause issues for both you and us as a result. Trash bags are provided for the length of your stay and all waste should be disposed of properly on a daily basis in the large green trash can on the West side of the main house. * The grill / griddle is available for your use but, we ask that you please leave it in the same clean condition in which you found it. Otherwise, we will charge an additional cleaning fee. * Please be aware that the internet/WiFi service might experience occasional disruptions or reduced speeds. Unfortunately, refunds or cancellations will not be offered due to interruptions or variations in Internet/WiFi service performance. * Guests must report any cleaning or maintenance issues immediately and give hosts ample time and access to the home in order to resolve issues. Early check out for any weather, cleaning, maintenance or any other reason without notification does not allow any refunds. We enforce our strict NO REFUNDS policy. * All guest and their visitors must follow all the FL state regulations and City ordinances as well as our specific rules and terms. * Please note: The property has a private deck overlooking the water. As with most Florida waterways, wildlife such as birds, turtles, otters, manatees, and occasionally alligators may be present. For everyone’s safety, swimming or entering the water is strictly prohibited. Guests must supervise children and pets at all times when near the water. These cameras are actively recording both audio and video around the perimeter of our house. Any tampering with cameras, including, but not limited to covering and otherwise disabling these cameras are grounds for early termination of reservation with no refunds whatsoever. * Quite time is from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. This means no loud music, people shouting, or any other loud noise. Please be respectful of the neighbors. * Boats and RV's are allowed and welcomed but please do not block the street or our neighbor's homes. * No smoking in or around the home. Guests can smell smoke on furniture, linens, walls, and trash cans. An additional $250 per day cleaning fee will be charged to your reservation if we detect the smell. * Guests must secure the home and make sure that all doors and windows are locked when they are not in the home. * Guests wishing to extend their stay must contact the owner first to make sure there are no previous bookings. We are happy to try to work out additional time if needed or additional days with our guests but, you must contact us first. Please be aware that we don’t answer our phones after 10:00 pm. Other things to note Hurricane Season Advisory: Florida’s hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th. If you choose to book during this period, please understand that our strict no-refund policy applies, even in the event of severe weather. We recommend monitoring the weather forecast closely and planning accordingly to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit. Guest Notice: There are exterior security cameras throughout the perimeter of the property that record both audio and video. These cameras are in place for the safety of both guests and the property. It is strictly prohibited to tamper with or cover the cameras. Doing so will result in immediate removal from the property with no refund issued. To ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible, we kindly ask that you report any issues or concerns within 24 hours of your check-in. This includes, but is not limited to: • Maintenance issues (e.g. Plumbing, appliances, or HVAC problems) • Cleaning concerns • Damages to the property or its contents • Any other matters impacting your stay Prompt reporting allows us to address concerns quickly and effectively. Failure to report issues within 24 hours may result in limited or no resolution during your stay. Additionally, guests must allow us access to the property to address and remedy any reported issues. Denying access will be considered a violation of our policies, and as a result, you will be asked to vacate the property with no refund issued. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and hope you have a fantastic time! * Any house rules that are broken will be grounds for immediate termination/cancellation of reservation with no refunds. The guests will have to leave and they will forfeit their deposit and all payment for any damages will be required to be paid in full. Failure to leave the property immediately will be considered trespassing. * If you are a respectful and considerate guest, then you should not worry about any of these rules. Our rules are to make sure that we continue to provide a clean and safe environment not only for our guests but for our great community & neighbors.
