Inside, you'll find a comfortable double bed with soft bedding, overhead reading lights, and handy under-bed storage for your cases. The snug seating area is ideal for reading, relaxing, or enjoying a hot drink. The kitchen is fully equipped with a sink, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, hotplate, cups, cutlery, and all the essentials you need for preparing simple meals. The private bathroom features a modern shower and toilet, with fresh towels for your convenience. For extra comfort, there’s a charming log burner to keep things cosy on cooler evenings, along with Wi-Fi, a TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime, and a selection of board games to enjoy a relaxing night in. Outside, enjoy the fresh air from the comfort of a Jack and Jill chair beside your very own fire pit. We even supply marshmallows and sticks so you can roast them under the stars — a perfect end to your day. We’ve got a BBQ ready for you to enjoy – just bring your own charcoal, or you can buy some from us for a small fee. For the firepit, we provide logs, kindling, and firelighters for your first night to help you get cosy. If you’d like more during your stay, extra supplies are available to purchase on-site. Guest access When you arrive at Woodend Hideaway, you’ll find the keys in a secure key safe located at the hut. The access code will be sent to you shortly before your stay. This allows you to check in at your convenience and get settled in with ease. If you need anything or have any questions on arrival, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to help! Other things to note One of the best things about staying in our shepherd’s hut is how quickly you can immerse yourself in nature. There are several footpaths and scenic countryside walks that start right from the hut’s doorstep. Whether you're in the mood for a peaceful morning stroll or a longer ramble through fields, woods, and charming lanes, it's all easily accessible without needing to drive anywhere.
