The cabin has a fireplace, underfloor heating and a heat pump. Short distance to the lake, marina and sandy beach with quay. Perfect for relaxation, hiking and boating – all year round. Parking right by the cabin with electric car charger. Here you get peace, nature and views in beautiful harmony. Feel free to bring your own kayak to enjoy the archipelago, or bring a bike to take you around the various islands! The space Brand new architect-designed cabin located on a small hill between Kvernavika and two freshwater lakes surrounded by pine forest and blueberry heather. Amazing views over the city mountains in Bergen and over the fjord and islets. The holiday home is located close to the common beach and marina in the warm Kvernavika near Torangsvåg. There is a fantastic skerry coast just outside. The cabin is designed with warm corners when the north wind bites on otherwise sunny days. There is a large wooden plot of 120 m2 around most of the cabin. In the "outer room" to the east there is a wood-fired hot tub, and sunny until late afternoon. Here you also have good contact with fjords and mountains. The outdoor rooms are furnished with tables, chairs and sofa, as well as a gas grill. The cabin is designed with large glass sections in the living room, master bedroom and hallway so that light and views come in from all directions. From the master bedroom there are also spectacular views - and the morning sun wakes you up if you don't have the curtains down. There is a large folding door in the living room to the south so that you can open it completely. There is also a large sliding door to the east. The cabin has good facilities with a large Kvik kitchen with induction cooktop, hot air oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. There is plenty of tableware, cutlery, glasses, and other kitchen utensils. Heating with heat pump and efficient fireplace. There are also heating cables in all rooms (wifi thermostat) except the storage room. In the storage room there is a combined washing machine/dryer. Modern tiled bathroom with large shower area and toilet. In addition, there is a small WC room. Note that the sink in the bathroom has a slightly stained material, so it's nice if you are a little careful with makeup/dirt, etc. There is plenty of space to hang outerwear and put off shoes and boots in the entrance - which also has heating cables in the floor. Parking in a common parking lot down by the marina/beach, as well as the possibility to park in the road up to the cabin at the charging station for electric cars (zaptec go). There is an RFID tag on the cabin key in the key box if you need to charge the car. NOTE: It is not intended that you drive all the way up to the cabin to park. There is firewood in the "duvet box" on the outside of the cabin for the fireplace and for the hot tub. If you want to use the hot tub, it is important to fill it with water before you start heating it with wood. It takes about 3 hours to get the heat up. Remember to empty the hot tub before you leave by opening the tap underneath, but only after it has cooled down. Guest access Spacious living room/kitchen solution with large dining table, sofa corner with panoramic views, as well as a great fireplace. Master bedroom with double bed with panoramic views of fjords and mountains. Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3 have beds that can either be used as a double bed or split. The bathroom has a spacious shower corner, is fully tiled and has great lighting. Guest toilet just off the front door. A small storage room with combined washing machine/dryer can be used. Here you will also find the fuse box, and WIFI router/fiber (Lysglimt broadband). The WIFI password is provided upon booking. There is parking for one car down by the beach in a shared parking lot. You can also park one or more cars in the road up to the cabin at the electric car charging post. Be sure not to block the other cabins with parking. It is not intended that you drive all the way up to the cabin (unlike the pictures :-)) It is possible to charge electric cars on the Zaptek go charging station just below the cabin. The RFID chip is on the cabin key that starts the charging. There is wood for the hot tub and fireplace in the "pillow box" outside. In the fireplace inside you have to use 30 cm logs. Other things to note To Austevoll you can take the ferry from Krokeide in Fana to Hufthammar. From there it is about 15 min by car to Hundvåkøy (Torangsvåg) and Kvernavika (about 14 km). You can also come from the south by ferry from Sandvikvåg (Stord) to Husavik south on Huftarøy. An alternative is to take a speedboat from Bergen or Flesland kai (at the airport) to Hufthammar, and either bus, taxi or bicycle from there. You can also take a bus from Bergen city center to Austevoll, and further to Torangsvåg/Kalve after a bus change at Storebø. It is recommended to rent a car if you do not have your own car, and you will be staying for a few more days. It is great to bring a kayak or bike to explore the island kingdom - either on the sea - or over the great bridges that connect the largest islands (of 667 islands and islets in the municipality). The nearest store is in Bakkasund (Joker) about 5 km away. In the summer season (July) there is an open restaurant at Olaskjæret (be picked up by boat at the quay in Bakkasund). At the municipal center in Storebø (about 8 km away) there are several grocery stores, pharmacies, pizza restaurants, etc. It is possible to rent bicycles at Bakkasund (5 km away) and kayaks during the season at Olaskjæret (at Bakkasund)
