Freshly renovated waterfront Otterhouse is located at the end of a rugged dirt road a mile from the Kingston Ferry, perched on a private beach with easterly sunrise views. Apple Tree Cove is a protected ecosystem renowned for wildlife, tide pools (seasonal), kayaking and Cascade Mountain views. One of four waterfront historic summer cottages the home offers a full kitchen, deck, hot tub, A/C and wood stove. Hillside location, all-wheel/four-wheel drive recommended, limited overnight parking. The space Otterhouse is a historic summer cottage (recently winterized) perched on a 10 foot tall sea rocky wall with direct access to the beach with ferry views. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and expandable dining table that can accommodate up to 8. Sleeping: three private bedrooms and a living room with a queen fold-out couch, additional fold-out full-sized couch in the principal bedroom. The smallest bedroom has a twin bed with a pull-out trundle. The house has 4 levels, an outdoor hot tub, water views, private deck and many staircases. We are well and septic-dependent, so please treat the fragile pipes with care. All-wheel or four-wheel drive recommended, Otterhouse is located at the end of a rugged dirt road with turn outs. Parking for 2 cars in covered carport, please do not block driveways. Due to close proximity to water and a hot tub on the premises, children need to be closely supervised. Quiet hours 10:00pm until 8:00am, including weekends. Guest access The whole cottage and beach is available to you. Please don’t disturb neighbors to the north and south, their lots are unfenced but not part of Otterhouse property. Limited overnight parking for a maximum of 2 cars, unless previously arranged. Guest spots are marked, please don’t block the neighboring driveways. Please, no smoking anywhere on property in including deck, road, driveways or beach. No commercial clamming or fishing. Please note that the neighbors have friendly dogs who may greet you or ask you to throw a ball. Other things to note Otterhouse is a historic cottage at the end of a rugged dirt road and built on a hillside. It’s a protected area with lots of wildlife including birds, mammals and sea life. The ecosystem is precious and fragile, so we ask that you treat the house and property with care. Children need to be supervised at all times due to close proximity to water and wildlife. Parking in designated carport spots only, unless previously arranged. Quiet hours 10:00pm - 8:00am.
