The space Welcome to the Historic Cedar Schoolhouse Classroom - a peaceful, private suite inside the original 1900s classroom. Soaring ceilings, chalkboards, old maps, and vintage books keep the spirit of the original space alive. There’s a comfy queen bed on the main floor, and a queen-sized daybed in the loft for reading, lounging, or bringing a friend. A full kitchen sits beneath soaring windows, with everything you need to cook, snack, and sip coffee while looking over strawberry fields. The main bathroom features a large walk-in shower and a deep soaking tub with a picturesque tree filled view out of the window — perfect for a peaceful evening. The second bathroom, off the schoolhouse hallway, adds a whimsy touch with an original art room sink, easel inspired floor to ceiling tile, and vintage chandelier — ideally located for your spa days or extra guests Outside, the shared cedar spa includes: • A naturally treated cedar hot tub • A cedar cold plunge • A handcrafted cedar sauna • Two showers • Built-in cedar benches overlooking the backyard It's a special space to unplug and restore. Located in Troutdale, close to the Historic Columbia River Highway, you’re minutes from iconic waterfalls, hiking trails, wineries, and sweet local shops and cafés. McMenamins Edgefield is just down the road if you’re here for a concert or wedding. A few notes: - No pets, smoking, or glass near spa facilities. No parties. - While we love kids, our property is not suitable for children. We’d love to welcome you to this little piece of history and relaxation. Guest access Private access to the Classroom suite. There is a second full bathroom "powder room" just outside the classroom in the main hallway. The cedar spa (hot tub / sauna / cold plunge) is available to guests only (no outside guests) Front/ Back yard and deck are shared spaces. Designated outside parking for 2 cars
