Encounters with local wildlife are common so keep your camera handy when having coffee on the patio or hiking nearby trails. The space Tranquility awaits on this 2.5-acre wooded estate. This large, established property backs up to adjoining undeveloped land creating a natural wildlife corridor. The healthy local moose population frequent the homestead along with fox, bears, Canadian lynx, coyote and other animals. We can't guarantee that our guests will always see a moose, but the odds are certainly in your favor. The relaxing and private 1300 sq ft downstairs unit has been completely remodeled. It is furnished with leather seating, antique pieces and Alaskan art. The open and bright floor plan allows for outside viewing of garden area and visiting wildlife. 5-minute drive to world class bird viewing at Potter Marsh, 15-minute drive to popular hiking trailheads along the Chugach Mountains. Nearby shopping and restaurants. We take pride in our efforts to provide a super clean and healthy environment for our guests. Continuous HEPA air filtration in unit. Other things to note This is an older house. We keep regular hours, we are quiet and have no pets/kids at home however you may hear the floor creak, or the boiler kick on. We are on a water well and septic system, as such we ask that guests are mindful of water use and flushing anything harmful. Shared laundry room available upon request. We have a detached workshop on the property separated by a privacy fence.
