Description
Elegantly renewed and nestled among the treetops, this Muskoka retreat overlooks the sunlit expanse of a pristine, spring-fed lake. Spend peaceful days canoeing, kayaking, swimming, or dining alfresco on the deck. As evening settles in, gather by the woodstove or let the kids unwind in the whimsical bunkie. Surrounded by trees and well-spaced cottages along a quiet lane, this elevated haven offers privacy, connection, and lasting memories—lovingly named by our littlest ones. The space This Grandview Lake cottage sits on a scenic rocky slope, with a levelled area beside the cottage perfect for lawn games. It offers two parking spots adjacent to the laneway, (three if parked carefully), with stair access down to the entrance. Inside, you will enjoy 2 bedrooms, both with closets, a modern 3 piece bathroom, and a utility room for outerwear storage. Stairs lead to the lower level and deck, where a cozy wood stove warms the open living space. Additional steps take you to the bunkie and waterfront, where you’ll find a canoe, kayak, paddle board, and a dock. Other things to note *This is a family-friendly cottage – parties are not permitted, and we kindly ask that you respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum, especially in the evenings. *There are many steps between the driveway and cottage. This is not ideal for those with mobility issues. *We are on a SEPTIC SYSTEM: Please help us take care of our septic system by not pouring any oil or fat down the sink drain AND by refraining from flushing anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. *We don't have A/C, but we have fans for you to use. *We ask that our guests bring their garbage with them to the landfill which is a very short detour off of the main highway (address provided) *Fresh bed linens, bath towels, & kitchen towels are provided at the beginning of your stay. There are plenty of extra blankets and pillows if needed. *A soap bar is provided. *The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, small appliances, cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware, & dinnerware. *Please bring your own firewood, as this is not provided. *Please bring your own charcoal and starter fluid for the barbecue, as this is not provided. *It is recommended to bring your own bottled drinking water, or to consume our tap water after boiling. The water intake is from the spring fed lake and is carbon & UV filtered, but we recommend that our guests err on the side of caution. *The cottage is located on a private laneway shared with two others—we’re in the middle with neighbours on each side. Please ensure the laneway remains clear so our neighbours can access their cottage at the end of the lane. STR-2024-286
