Petite Cottage is quiet yet convenient to beautiful Long Island Beaches, North Fork Vineyards, South Fork, The Hampton's and fine eateries. Close to the excitement of Manhattan's Broadway Shows, Fine Dining, Central Park, Museums and Galleries. Petite Cottage is very private and very quiet. Fully equipped kitchen, should you decide to cook evening meals after a day at the beach. Master bedroom has queen size bed and very comfortable. Living room comes with a Sofa Bed and can easily accommodate two people. You will have private parking and a private brick patio. Petite Cottage entry is left of main house, looking at the house. Walk down path which is illuminated in the evenings, first door on side of main house is the entrance to cottage. Walk through Foyer to a cozy cottage. The foyer is where breakfast will await you, usually ready by 7.30 a.m. unless otherwise requested earlier or later in the mornings. The host will assist you with your daily activities. Beach lunches, if required, car rental , they will pick you up. AM transportation to the Long Island Train to Manhattan. Pick up from station if not later than 10.00 PM, otherwise taxi's are available. Special services at nominal charges, paid in cash only! East Meadow is residential for the most part, situated on beautiful Long Island, where beaches are known for their lovely golden soft sand. Being an island, we are surrounded by it. Parks, Manhattan, Golf ( there are more than 200 courses on Long Island, from Bethpage Black to Montauk Downs. Vineyards on the North Fork and The Hampton's on the South Fork. Fishing,Canoeing, Kayaking, Tennis and Historic Homes like Sagamore Hill, President Theodore Roosevelt's Summer Home on Long Island. It is customary to make reservations for dinner, especially in season which runs from May through October. Bars and restaurants all across Long Island, one better than the next. Only a 40 minute drive to Manhattan, depending on traffic to some of the finest dining and Broadway Shows. Being a guest of Petite Cottage, gives ease in that, safe private parking is available on the property. Long Island Railroad is no more than 5 minutes away, which if required, we can drive you to the station and pick you up, if no later than a 10.00 pm return. Cabs are always available. Our charge $20.00 round trip. Likewise, a round trip to Jones Beach including beach admission charge will bear a cost of $40. Pick up no later than 4.00 pm - Delivery no later than 9.00 am. Car rental companies will usually pick you up and then complete rental agreement at their office. It is better to arrange car rentals before arriving or at least two days before required. During the season it really does make good sense to make the reservation along with your initial holiday arrangements. We recommend Enterprise. Long Island can be very hot during the Summer months so be careful of sun burn, protect yourself with sunscreen and sun glasses. Many vacations have been ruined because of sun burn. Take bottled water with you every day. Complimentary 24 bottles of Poland Spring Water will be in the refrigerator. Thereafter, 24 bottles of water can be supplied at a cost of $7.00
