A beautiful hand-renovated 1960s railway carriage, nestled in a quiet rural farm in Norton le Clay, North Yorkshire. Featuring bespoke detail throughout, our unique hideaway features a luxurious double bed with TV, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, and a cosy log burner. Outside, enjoy the fenced private space with a fire pit/BBQ, games and seating overlooking the iconic White Horse. Tucked behind a wildflower bank with its own track and parking, this is a peaceful spot to unwind. The space Private access and ample parking next to the hut. The hut is set behind our farm and alongside our fields, within a fully-fenced, private garden area. Your only neighbours will be the cows in the neighbouring field! The hut has a lovely view of the famous White Horse of Kilburn (the home of the famous Mouse Man furniture) on the North York Moors. When night falls, it is an ideal location for some stargazing and owl spotting if you're lucky! The hut has an open-plan bedroom/living area with an en-suite bathroom. There is indoor and outdoor electric lighting. Bedroom - double bed, TV, ample underbed storage, bed tray Living/ Kitchenette - wall-mounted folding table, two chairs, log burner, mini-fridge, multifunctional small oven (you can roast, air-fry, toast etc), kettle, nespresso-compatible coffee machine, crockery and utensils Outdoor - gas pizza oven, fire pit with swing-arm BBQ, three seating areas including a comfy egg chair, solar-powered garden lighting Bathroom - flushing toilet, hot water shower Included in your stay - logs for the log burner and fire pit (more available upon request for a small fee), bed linens, towels, bath robes, slippers, shower gel, shampoo, binoculars, indoor and outdoor games Guest access Private access off the road through the village (Broadbalk lane) and ample parking next to the hut. The hut is set behind our farm and alongside our fields, within a fully-fenced, private garden area. Your only neighbours will be the cows in the neighbouring field! Other things to note No dogs allowed. We live on site on our family farm which has cattle, sheep and our daughter's horse, George. We also have three lovely dogs. While they add to the charm of the setting (you may hear tractors and mooing), they won't disturb your stay. You'll find a great selection of supermarkets, tearooms, takeaways, restaurants, and cosy pubs just a short drive away in nearby Boroughbridge (5 mins drive, has a Morrison's superstore), Ripon (15 mins drive) and Thirsk (15 mins drive) and neighbouring villages. Explore the famous spa town of Harrogate (25 minute drive) and the historic city of York (40 minutes).
