Across from a beautiful CSA organic farm, our comfortably appointed farmhouse welcomes you with all the amenities of being close to town, yet all the benefits of being in nature. Backing to open space, we have access to a great network of hiking just around the corner, while a half mile in the other direction you can find shops, eateries groceries and a huge town park. Situated 1 mile from downtown San Anselmo, and 2 miles to downtown Fairfax. Explore and relax. The space Tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this charming cottage sits at the back of a lovely neighborhood, offering privacy and serenity. The shaded front yard, anchored by a majestic coastal oak, provides an ideal space to unwind—perfect for reading, journaling, gathering with loved ones around the large outdoor dining table, or simply relaxing with your favorite drink. A few cozy lounge areas let you listen to birdsong and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. In the sun-drenched backyard, you’ll find a Springfree trampoline (jump at your own risk!), a whimsical playhouse for little ones, a propane fire pit for cool evenings, and sunny spots for lounging or soaking up rays. With only one direct neighbor, you’ll enjoy an open view across the street of a beautiful strawbale barn and working CSA farm, home to chickens, heirloom vegetables, and honeybees. The fully fenced yard is ready to welcome your well-behaved pets, making this a truly family-friendly retreat. Located just around the corner from the scenic trails of Sorich Park and only a few blocks from one of the area’s best playgrounds and wide-open fields, the cottage is perfectly situated for both outdoor adventure and family fun. In just five minutes by car, you can be in the heart of downtown San Anselmo or Fairfax, each brimming with cozy coffee shops, local boutiques, and small-town charm. (Ask us about the secret walking path to downtown Fairfax!) For those looking to explore further, the legendary trails of Mount Tamalpais are close by, and Muir Beach is just a 30-minute drive. Stinson Beach is about 45 minutes away, and Point Reyes makes for a beautiful day trip. If you’re in the mood for redwoods and rivers, Samuel P. Taylor State Park is less than 20 minutes. Guest access Guests have full, private access to the entire property, with the exception of the shed and garage, which are reserved for owner storage.
