Almendra Room with Shared Bathroom at the Beach

The Almendra room is a homage to the beach. Let your mind relax and fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The Almendra room features a queen-size bed, and has a shared bathroom located just across the hallway. The space The Casitas are 4 individual rooms within the structure of an old agricultural base, built more than 40 years ago. Recently renovated, they are immersed in a 33 hectares untouched jungle sanctuary. A stay in one of The Casitas will give you access to the secluded bay beach with a surf break during high tides. Nula, a plant-based kitchen and a sister project within Zunya, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guest have access to the Nucleo, a communal shared kitchen and co-working space with high-speed internet. The co-working area is covered in case it rains. The land has many areas for you to explore. From a volleyball court, garden slackline, an orchard, wood workshop, yoga shala and many secret jungle spots. We will be happy to connect you with nearby transportation services. We are 7 minutes away by car from Santa Teresa (or 30min walking). The property offers free parking on site and bicycles to rent. The closest convenient shop in Malpais is 10min walking distance. Other things to note Our differences: - In order to respect the silence and rest of all those around you, please keep in mind that 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM is considered quiet time at Zunya. - We believe in a vegan way of life. Our restaurant, Nula, has curated a nourishing plant-based menu made from fresh, locally farmed ingredients. However, if you’d prefer to prepare your own meals, the communal kitchen is available for use. We do ask that you abstain from cooking any type of animal protein. - Cold-water improves circulation, relieves depression, keeps skin and hair healthy, and strengthens your immune system. With this in mind, the showers at Zunya offer only cold water in order to provide our guests with all the benefits that cold water therapy represents. There is one communal hot shower should you prefer. - To regulate our daily consumption of energy, there is no AC available inside our rooms. All of the rooms have a fan to help keep guests cool and comfortable during nighttime.
