This apartment, located in a large Victorian home from 1882, feels peaceful and relaxed while still being right in the middle of town in the historic district. This apartment features a cast iron claw foot tub with shower, butcher block countertops in the kitchen, and two bedrooms each with queen size beds and lots of natural light throughout. The space Our home was built in 1882 and the floors, wainscoting, baseboards, and door frames are all long leaf heart pine. For 40 years these rooms were part of an optometrist business, now fully transformed into a beautiful living space. We have left some remnants of the business including vintage light fixtures outside each room. The kitchen includes large convection toaster oven, induction two burner glass stove top, full size refrigerator, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. The butcher block countertops and large sink add a touch of the modern to this antique home. While this apartment does not have a full size oven or stove top, everyone who has stayed with us has confirmed they can cook full meals and it is fully functional. The bathroom has a vintage pedestal sink, and an antique small cast iron clawfoot tub with shower and curtain halo. The antique tub is taller than most tubs, you must step up into it. Both bedrooms have a queen size bed with hardwood frame. There is a Roku TV in both bedrooms, and the entire apartment is Central AC and heating with the controls available to you. We do not have Internet or laundry available for this apartment. Guest access The entire apartment is available to you for your stay. It has no access to the rest of the home. You will park in the front parking lot, walk up the mulched pathway to the back parking lot and turn right to walk around to the back of the home where your entrance is at the screen door with a lock box. Other things to note There are three steps leading up onto the porch.
