Baan Farang
Description
Under 3km from the famous Maeklong Railway Market and Amphawa, this is a unique "Live with the locals" AirBnB stay. A 2 bedroom cottage on a 1 acre property in a village just 300 metres (but a world away) from the main road into town. A perfect balance of authentic Thai culture and modern convenience, and a great base for adventures around the local area. The space This beautiful authentic Thai cottage is set in an acre of grounds and surrounded on 3 sides by a fish filled canal. The cottage has 2 bedrooms each with its own toilet and bathroom as well as aircon. The lounge, dining and kitchen area are tastefully furnished with a balance of Thai aesthetics and western practicality. The grounds contain beautiful plants and trees including many coconut palms, mangoes, papaya, banana, and mulberry. We provide you with breakfast supplies including our own fruits when in season. The property is set in a village style area but shops and the main road to Maeklong and Amphawa are just a few hundred metres away. It is not far from Lat Yai railway station where you can ride the train to the famous railway market, less than 1km from the birthplace of the original Siamese twins, and less than 3km to Maeklong and Amphawa. Baan Farang is owned and setup by Aussie / Thai couple Gary & Penny, and hosted by Penny’s sister Dang (who lives in a separate house at the back of the property). Dang and brother Gail tend the gardens and we have a housekeeper who will welcome you to the property, but your privacy is respected at all times. We aim to make sure you have a realistic Thai cultural stay in a comfortable and accessible way. Gary and Penny (Airbnb super hosts in Tasmania Australia) are cohosting the property and are available to help out where needed. We know you will love this stay 😊
