This is a special riverfront setting directly on the Cabot Trail. Use it as your launching point for Cape Breton adventures of beaches, waterfalls and hiking. Wake up to birds chirping as you sip on your coffee in a cozy timber frame cottage overlooking the banks of the Margaree River. Our property, along with the guesthouse is completely off-grid and 100% powered by solar. There’s pathway to the river for swimming and kayaking. Private wood fired forrest sauna. The space Living room, kitchen, bathroom and small sunroom are all on the main level. A staircase takes you to the loft where you’ll find an open space (with a queen bed) which leads to the bedroom with a queen bed. This room is also open to the space below with curtains hung for added privacy. Through the main entrance or through the sunroom you can enjoy the deck overlooking the beautiful Margaree river. The deck has a privacy fence, a barbecue and comfortable chairs for you to enjoy the view. Note that this part of the river is tidal so the view changes throughout the day as the tide moves. Guest access Guests will have access to the wood fired sauna, outdoor fire pit, two kayaks and feel free to walk through the woods and take in a little nature. Other things to note There will be a designated parking spot marked for guests right in front of the guesthouse.
