Description

1 bedroom self-contained annex with its own entrance in rural East Lothian. A car is essential. We are 10 miles from central Edinburgh and only 3 miles to Prestonpans train station and a 13 minute train journey into the city. Bedroom with king size bed, sofa and private shower room. Storage area with fridge, microwave and kettle. The annex is part of our house which is sits in a 2 acre plot surrounded by farmland. We look forward to welcoming you to our home! The space Detached house set in a 2 acre plot. The annex is part of the main house on the ground floor with its own entrance and patio door to seating area. Please note, the annex is at the front of the house and faces the front garden. Car parking is available on drive way at front of the house. The house is on the outskirts of New Winton, a small village one mile from Tranent. There are miles of walking/cycling track literally on our doorstep. Guest access Guests will have access to self-contained annex with its own front door and private bathroom. There is a small storage area , separate to the bedroom containing clothes rail, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. We also provide plates, cutlery, cups and glasses. This is an internal area with no window which is accessed via a door in the bedroom. As there is no sink in this area, used items can be left on a tray outside and we will clean/replace items as needed throughout the stay. There is no kitchen and no cooking utensils provided. There is also a small patio to the front with outdoor table and seating for use by guests. During your stay Either myself or my husband generally will be on-site to welcome you. Our preference is to meet guests in person. Other things to note Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please note the garden is not fully secure and we are close to the road. Please note there is a charge of £20 per stay. Please let us know in advance if you’re planning on bringing a dog. If it’s raining, please towel dry dogs before entering and also no dogs on the furniture and bed. We have two dogs ourselves, a German Shepherd and a Yorkie. The nearest supermarkets are in Tranent. We’re not within walking distance to shops/restaurants but there’s a good selection of pubs/restaurants within 15 minutes drive including Tranent, Cockenzie, Pencaitland and Haddington.
