Come and enjoy a room located on an organic family farm 25 minutes walking from the town of Cotacachi. Built by hand, this straw bale house has rooms with a beautiful view of the Andean mountains. You will have access to dry composting toilets, solar showers as well as shared space with the family who owns the farm enjoying the eco-friendly way of life. Delicious homemade breakfast included. If you love DIY, we are sure that you will enjoy our place. The space We are a family of 5 and are half Japanese and half Ecuadorian. We have 3 children ages 12, 7 and 3 as well as 1 adorable kitten. We speak Spanish, Japanese, Kichwa and English. Guest access Living room and garden are a shared space, living room has couches and armchairs and the garden is a beautiful space to take a walk! During your stay - Free tour of the organic farm - An enriching experience of working on the organic farm (if you are willing to help seriously) - Vegetarian (with eggs and dairy) lunch and/or dinner with organic vegetables from the garden ($8/person/meal) - Tour of local lagoon Cuicocha, includes: transportation ($30 per person) - Local community tours, includes: visiting workshops of local artisan goods, and transportation($30 per person) Other things to note - NO SHOPS/RESTAURANTS AROUND! There are very few shops and no restaurants around the farm. The town is 25 minutes away. And most of the shops including restaurants close at 8PM. If you need food or anything else during your stay, please bring your own food/things or let us know before hand before you come. (Breakfast is included in the stay) - SOLAR POWERED SHOWER! Which means there would be no hot shower if it's raining/cloudy.
