No high-speed boating during hours of 7:30 pm thru 11 a.m. A paradise for the whole family! With a sandy beachfront, a pedal boat, a kayak, and a sandy beach you can spend your whole day on the water. If you're looking for a day trip, enjoy the 40-minute drive to Mackinaw. This property sleeps 6, and is the perfect family escape to Silver Lake. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Air Conditioning: There is no Central AC. There is a portable window unit in the Living Room, and window fans are available. ATV's: Not allowed for use on property. Bathrooms: There is one full bath with a shower. Beach/Swimming: The house is on Silver Lake and features a sandy beachfront! Bedroom Configurations: Primary Bedroom: Double Bed Second Bedroom: Double Bed Loft Area: Two Twin Beds Boats: This property has a pedal boat and a single-person kayak for guests to use! Boat Launch: The public boat launch is just across the lake about 3 miles away (5 minutes) Cable: This property does not have traditional cable. Cell Phone Service: Most major carriers work well but can be spotty at times. Coffee Maker: There is a Keurig Single Cup Distances: Downtown Market (general store, night crawlers)- 1.5 miles (3 min) The Thirsty Sturgeon Restaurant- 2.9 miles (6 min) Sturgeon River Paddlesports- 1.6 miles(3 min) Big Bear Adventures- Tubing, rafting, paddle rentals- 11 miles (14 min) Gaylord: 22 minutes (20 miles) Petoskey: 28 minutes (21 miles) Mackinaw City: 38 minutes (40 miles) Traverse City: 1 hour and 33 minutes (79 miles) Alpena: 1 hour and 33 minutes (86 miles) Dock: 30 ft dock Drinking Water: There is drinkable well water at this location. Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city. Fireplace: There is a wood-burning fireplace. Fire-pit: There is a solo fire pit. Fishing: Trout, Bluegill, and Sunfish. Fishing License: A license is required to fish in Michigan. Golf: Wildwood Lakes Golf Course: 11 minutes (6.1 miles) Black Bear Golf Club: 14 minutes (10 miles) Grill: There is a propane grill. Grocery Store: Village Market: 14 minutes (11 miles) Pat & Gary's: 13 minutes (9.8 miles) Handicap Friendly: There are no additional features to make this property ADA compliant. Heat: Electric baseboard heat. Hunting: Not allowed on the property. Please follow all local & state guidelines if hunting in the area. Internet/WIFI: Yes! Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels and beach towels. Parking: There is one spot on side of home and one behind the home. Pets: 1 dog is welcome! Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/PER PET for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the house. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to lay on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we'll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed. Privacy: There are neighbors on both sides. Snowmobiles: A person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground. Seniors: Seniors Welcome! There are two steps to enter the home, and three steps down from the deck. Televisions: Living Room: 55" Smart TV Primary Bedroom: 30" Smart TV Second Bedroom: 30" Smart TV Towels: All bath and kitchen towels will be provided during your stay. We have 6 beach towels for you! Washer and Dryer: Yes! Wood: Firewood is not provided.
