Description
A special place - right in the village. The approximately 200-year-old house made of quarry stone and timber is located in picturesque Lommersdorf, directly on the Ahrsteig and in the vicinity of Freilingen and the Freilinger bathing lake. A barn and a garden are included. Kerstin (co-host) lives nearby and is available for guests. The house has charm and patina, offers space and many possibilities. In autumn / winter, the staircase and corridors are rather cool, so you should be able to cope with it (!) The space Vuer Breu-esch - in front of the brewery - this was formerly the name of the timber-framed courtyard complex, which was built in the early 19th century in the center of the settlement of Lommersdorf. The main house was extensively restored in 2008. Inside, care was taken to preserve original elements (stairs, doors, fixtures) as much as possible. With the restoration, an oil central heating system was installed, which is complemented in the kitchen by a wood-fired kitchen stove. There are two bathrooms with toilets, the simpler of which can be used as a guest toilet, while the larger one with a walk-in shower, bathtub and two sinks is often referred to as a bathing paradise by visitors. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, two bathrooms and a utility room, a pretty and spacious bedroom with a double bed. On the first floor, the living room and two small bedrooms, each with a single bed, lead off from the hallway with a rocking horse. Two more people can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room if necessary. The house has a small garden with a sun terrace, which can be reached through the barn via a stone staircase. A gas grill is included. In the garden or in the barn you can sit well and barbecue, for example. The house has patina, it is rather cool and in winter it is useful to only heat the rooms that are used in order to protect the climate and not to waste energy unnecessarily. You can make yourself very comfortable, especially in the fully equipped kitchen with the wood-burning stove. But you still get a clear impression of how people used to live. There is parking in the barn and in the driveway and in front of the house. About 150 m away, Carmen's village shop provides delicious croissants, bread in the morning, in a warm and friendly atmosphere you will actually find everything you need to survive. From the house you can enter the Ahrsteig, reach Lake Freilingen by bike in about 12 minutes, choose countless mountain bike routes, explore the butterfly museum of Ahrhuette on an extensive walk, or venture a moped tour to the Nürburgring (about 20 km) via winding roads through beautiful scenery. And of course much more... Unfortunately, the brewery opposite the courtyard no longer exists, but there is at least tapped beer in the nearby Jaegerhof on the weekend, and of course the Jägerschnitzel is recommended. If it rains, you could fold out the ping-pong table in the barn, play a board game, read or go back to the large satellite and Wi-Fi screen and stream a movie...
