Pause Pedal Pyrénées - Gîte Aspin

Set in over 2000m², the Pause Pedal Pyrénées gîtes are set around an original 1850s farmhouse, lovingly restored over 5 years. The gardens, shared between Gîte Aspin and Gîte Tourmalet, offer panoramic views of the Pyrénées range and features a newly built, heated swimming pool. On site we also have our bike and coffee space "The Procrastination Station." It features spacious bike and accessory storage, service area, charging zones and winter equipment storage as well as artisanal coffee. The space The 2 bedroom Aspin Gîte, has a flexible bedding setup, ideal for a family or small group of adults. It features a full kitchen (with oven, induction hob, microwave, full size fridge freezer, and dishwasher) a bathroom with shower and a lounge/diner. The first bedroom can be set up with either two singles or a king bed, and the second bedroom has a set of bunk beds. This second bedroom leads onto a terrace and lawned area for sole use of the Gîte Aspin, which offers views of the Pic du Midi and the rest of the Pyrénées range. The gîte is fully renovated and has been decorated with a nod to the Col D'Aspin and surrounding mountains. Other things to note ADDITIONAL GARDEN INFO For outdoor dining, we have numerous areas, including poolside as well as the serene nook at the far end of the garden, with only the mountain panorama beyond. The pool is open for use from May - September and is shared between the two bedroom “Gîte Aspin” and the studio “Gîte Tourmalet”. ABOUT THE AREA The French Pyrénées is the somewhat wilder and often lesser known cousin to the French Alps. Offering some of Europe's most challenging road cycling climbs, incredible gravel and technical single track for when you wish to venture away from the tarmac, as well as expansive winter ski resorts and many more hidden treasures. But it's not only about experiences on two wheels here, endless opportunities for hiking, trail running, exploring ancient mountain-side villages, rock climbing, paddle boarding on serene mountain lakes or even a spot of alpine lake fishing await you in the Pyrénées. Who knows, you may even be lucky enough to glimpse one of the 40 Brown Bears who call the Pyrénées mountain range home.
