Wedding week-end get away! Great Getaway in the North Georgia Mountains to relax and enjoy the best section of the Chattahoochee River. Helen, Cornelia, Cleveland and Clarkesville are 4 towns very close by with wineries, restaurants, shopping, fly fishing, hiking and more. The best time is spent at the house playing in the river or enjoying the sounds of the river from the large screened porch. Very easy access to the water. Views of the River are best in the wintertime when the leaves have fallen and the trees are bare. Fire Place, Fire Pit and firewood at the house. Spend your days on the large screened-in porch and lower deck overlooking the Chattahoochee River in Demorest, Georgia watching the tubers, canoes, kayaks go by. Get adventurous! Use the shuttle service provided by the local outfitters and go kayaking with the sit-on-tops kayaks they provide for rent. Go fishing in the river or hike along the river. Or just sit on the large screened porch, swings by the river, lower porch, and listen to the beautiful sounds of the river rapids while reading, playing family games, or watching television. We have recently installed video cameras outside the house monitoring our property. One points at the base of driveway so we can see who comes on our property.
