This is a space filled with charm, warmth, and the quiet magic of being surrounded by stories—perfect for two guests looking to unwind, explore, and reconnect. Though compact, the flat has everything you need for a peaceful stay: a comfy double sofabed, a snug sitting nook for reading or relaxing, and your own private bathroom. Wake to the gentle hum of the village and the scent of freshly ground coffee drifting up from below. As part of your stay, we’re delighted to include a homemade breakfast bap and a hot drink of your choice each morning in the café downstairs—enjoyed among shelves of books and a slow, friendly pace of life. This is a place for dreamers, thinkers, walkers, and wanderers. Whether you’re escaping the city or diving into a creative project, we hope you’ll feel right at home. We can’t wait to welcome you. Our little flat is a warm, open-plan studio space—simple, snug, and full of charm. While there’s no separate bedroom, you’ll be sleeping on a very comfortable sofa bed that folds out easily and is made up with fresh linens, soft pillows, and a cozy duvet for a restful night’s sleep. It’s the perfect setup for slow mornings with coffee, quiet evenings with a book, and everything in between. We’ve made sure every corner of the space is welcoming and well thought out, so even though it’s small, it feels just right. Other things to note A Bookshop by Day, a Peaceful Retreat by Night – with a Touch of Magic on Thursdays Our café downstairs is a much-loved, working bookshop during the day—filled with the gentle hum of conversation, the clink of coffee cups, and the rustle of pages being turned. It’s a lively, inspiring space where locals and visitors gather to read, chat, and slow down. Come evening, the café settles into quiet, and your flat above becomes a peaceful retreat, perfect for rest and relaxation. The exception is Thursday evenings, when once a month we host our beloved community events—whether it’s our cozy Book Club, lively Quiz Night, or a gentle Acoustic Music evening. These special nights run until around 9:30 pm, and all guests are warmly invited to join in the fun. As our guest, you’re welcome to enjoy a complimentary craft beer or a glass of locally sourced or organic wine—on the house. It’s a lovely way to connect with the spirit of the village and the heart of the bookshop. We hope you’ll feel at home among stories, songs, and friendly faces.
