Located in central Vermont, our honeymoon cottage is the ideal private getaway, adjacent to in-ground pool (pool available in Vermont season: late June, July- August) ) when you stay with us. You might just be lucky enough to wake up with the alpacas munching outside your window or hear the roosters crowing nearby! Please plan to slip off your shoes at the door. The cottage can be the perfect technology fast . Getaway from it all together. Private drive and entrance. It is also roomy enough to bring a couple kids and bags if you so desire, or have us install cot ... The farm is very nice to walk around, be advised there are cows and a bull in the large pasture a quarter mile out there. Good Farm etiquette includes leaving your shoes at the door, no climbing fences or walking on stone walls or entering into a barn or pasture where you could find yourself in trouble, or accidentally introduce pathogens the animals do not have resistance to . (biocontamination) There are great lawns, a dirt road to walk and class 4 roads nearby to mountain bike and enjoy. As a working farm that does weddings, our time is very precious to us. We of course want to check you in and meet you, but occasionally we are busy doing social things or work ourselves. We want you to enjoy your stay and are usually available at meal times to visit and show you around, but out of necessity, some days we work long hours. We are in a rural community, down a dirt road but very close to Rt 22A with excellent central location to explore all of Vermont. we are a small family (working) farm which raises beef and alpacas. the nearest neighbor is apex . half mile Park right outside your door if you 'd like, but public transportation is not amiable in the country We could pick a guest up at Burlington international for a fee...or you could rent a car , so you could access local attractions , meals etc.etc.. Usually guests find that they do better if they arrive during the day, so they can see and find their room. we are out in the country without street lights on a country road. The house is a very old farm with dirt basement and the farm animals can be noisy at times. Roosters, guinea hens ( for tick control) an occasionally alpacas tussling or a lawn mower or farmshop work can add to the unique mix, but the cottage is definitely its own space and can be very private, if you so choose. .
