Private Retreat on 10 Acres in Shelby

Getaway, relax and unwind in our private studio on 10+acres of forest in Shelby. Guests have their own private deck, yard and are more than welcome to use the outdoor hot tub (by the main house) and wander the woods down to the creek. We respect everyone's privacy but are available if you need anything. The space The studio was built in 1910. It was a small house that was converted into a garage with guest quarters above. We recently converted the downstairs garage into a part-time art studio and completely renovated the guest quarters above, with all new electric, plumbing, bathroom, kitchenette and deck, in the Summer/Fall of 2018. The floor, walls, doors, windows & parts of the ceiling are all original old heart pine that has been refinished. We added a cozy electric fireplace, kitchenette, and modern tub & shower. Guests have their own parking space, private entrance, garden and 200 Sq-ft private deck overlooking the woods & garden where you'll see plenty of birds and occasionally deer and other critters. There is a gas grill and a patio heater on the deck in the winter. The private yard off the back deck is surrounded by woods. It's all yours for the duration of your stay.
