The space Welcome to our peaceful lake house directly overlooking the Rotsee Badi - a popular public swimming area on one of Switzerland’s iconic lakes. Nestled just 10 minutes from Lucerne city center and train station (by bus), this two-level heritage villa combines the old and the new, offering lake views, garden privacy, and space for up to 12 guests. The villa borders the Rotsee nature reserve and offers direct access to lakeside walking paths, panoramic views from its two sunny terraces (on 1st and 2nd floor), and a gated garden. Whether you’re swimming at the Badi (just a 1-minute walk away), hiking on the nearby trails, or gathering with friends for dinner, you’ll feel immersed in nature - with the city close by when you want it. Guests will have the villa to themselves during their stay, with access to both the first and second floors. The first floor includes all bedrooms and bathrooms, while the second floor features a spacious living room with kitchen, dining area, workspace, and a guest toilet. Both levels open onto private terraces. A very comfortable sofa bed in the living room provides an additional sleeping option. Bedroom 4 (only accessible via bedroom 3): 160×200 cm king bed (sleeps 2) 90x200 cm single sofa bed with topper for extra comfort (sleeps 1) The single sofa bed can be moved to Bedroom 3 if needed, to accommodate a family of 4. This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and A/C (AC only in this room). Important: The bedrooms 3 and 4 are connected and can be used as a spacious suite or as separate rooms. A connecting door can be opened or closed for privacy. Note that access to Bedroom 4 and its ensuite bathroom is through Bedroom 3 only. As I’ve learned this is called a “rail-road” in the US.
