The space This house is a true gem which was recently fully renovated and professionally decorated. It has an open concept modern kitchen living room with a dining space in between. Living room is equipped with a lavish high end Foster Leather Sectional sofa from Joss and Main which is so perfect for friends’ to enjoy a board game together or to watch a movie on a 120" (its big) projector screen. With a lowered screen our living area turns into a cozy theater room. We have a high definition XGIMI Horizon Pro smart home theater projector that can connect to apps like Apple TV and the Google Play Store. It also has built-in Chromecast, which allows you to cast content from your iOS or Android devices. Add some real wood burning fire stove for chilly evenings and you can not help but to relax and exhale and THIS is exactly why we have created this space for you! Step outside and find even more to enjoy. The newly added natural stone porch features a sitting area and a fire pit—perfect for crisp evenings under the stars or morning tea among birdsong. The peaceful mountain setting is always close at hand, whether you’re sipping coffee or simply breathing in the quiet. The house was fully renovated in Dec 2024. As an experienced host surely I have thought carefully about every little basic detail for our guests: comfortable fresh linens, towels, incense, tea light candles, natural body products, high quality tea, coffee and much more. The list goes on and on. Everything on the list was handpicked with most care and thought. We also like to be truthful to our guests so it is “not your average” airbnb meaning that I decorated and set up it as I would have done it for myself: honest i.e. no shortcuts, no cheap stuff. But there is more. If you are so to notice, you will see hidden messages all over the place. Please take it as my fun riddle game for you to play if you are so kind as to let me entertain you. House sleeps 2 couples very comfortably for maximum occupancy of 4 people. And finally another good way to get familiar with the space would be to go over photos and read photo comments. Guest access You will have full access to the house, parking for 2 cars Other things to note Kids: Your child safety is fully on you as the Cottage is not equipped with childproof devices. Cleaning: We have years of hosting experience and our cleaning check list is as comprehensive as it can be Things to do around: There is PLENTY! Biking, hiking, swimming, rock-climbing, skydiving, paragliding, wine tasting, restaurants, art centers, organic farms, harvest (apples, blueberries, peach, raspberry etc.) picking, caving, stargazing and many more. Please check our guestbook for more information Water quality note: We live in the Gunks and water is well known to be hard in our region. It is full of minerals including sulfur, so it is normal to feel some smell at times. We do have water treatment systems professionally installed and it gets checked by a water treatment company periodically. There is a reverse osmosis drinking filter in the kitchen (small fauset) that produces crystal clear purified water. Pests: We do have monthly subscription to Terminix service and we treat for bugs and rodents periodically. Said that it is important to realize that we live in the nature and it is possible that some bugs or rodents get inside our house once in awhile. We can promise that we do everything from our side to eliminate interaction with pests but we cannot promise that there is absolutely no possibility to encounter any bugs or rodents. Nature is the nature. If you experiencing any issues please let us know and we will do our best to solve the issue for you. Whildlife: Some people get surprised that there are wild animals that live in the forest. Well. We have forest and there are wild animals in there. Please dont be surprised and also dont be afraid. Wild animals dont come knock to our doors. Its safe.
