Off grid private pond with canoes in Cumbria

Relax in our 2.5 acres of wilderness. Our place is off grid, there's no wifi, no mains electricity or gas and no distractions. The beauty of being here is that you will have the whole grounds, including the peaceful pond, all to yourself. Wake up and do some yoga on the decking (or just sit and sip coffee), row out between the lilly pads, listen to the cacophony of birdsong (and the odd tractor), in the evening watch the bats and owls then light the woodburner and cosy up in the caravan. The space PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING. Please be aware that you can't get to us by public transport, unless youre willing to walk half an hour, and we are not within easy walking distance of any shops or pubs. Theres no TV and no washing machine, it's the setting that makes our space special, not the amenities. You'll enter the grounds over a bridge and through a small gate. Theres free parking for two vehicles in a private layby on the quiet country road that brings you to the property. You'll then find us 1 minute walk down a path through the garden. The caravan itself has a kitchen dining area with a gas cooker and table with space for four diners. The cosy living area has a wood burning stove and plenty of sofa space (you could squeeze an extra two guests to sleep here if you wanted but it's not a sofa bed). The woodburner is the only heating, but it quickly warms the caravan through. There is a boiler that heats up water for showers and dishes. There is then a lovely clean and modern (if small) shower room and toilet (we do have a mains water supply but the drainage goes out to a septic tank). There is then a double bedroom and a very small single bedroom, there will be a clean bottom sheet on the bed but please bring your own bedding/sleeping bags. Although the caravan does not have mains electric, the solar panels will allow you to charge a mobile phone or other low powered electric devices. There's no WiFi, there is a phone signal for Vodafone but I couldn't vouch for other networks. There's no fridge! We'll provide a large ice box with frozen water bottles inside to keep things cold for you during a short stay - for longer stays you might need to get ice from a supermarket (nearest one is six miles away in Carlisle). My partner lived here for 15 years before I made him live in a house with children and we often argue about which food items really need fridgerated. The nearest supermarket is in Carlisle, a 10 minute drive away. There are two pubs which serve food and a chip shop with a five minute drive but lots more choice for places to eat out in Carlisle. You wouldn't get a takeaway delivered, they would never find you.
