Farnum Hill Guest Cottage

What used to be a turn-of-the century headquarters for the Farnum Hill Copper Mine is now a peaceful rural getaway minutes from downtown Lebanon and Hanover, NH. The hosts live in a historic 1800s farmhouse a couple hundred feet away. Close enough to meet any needs you have, but far enough for you to enjoy your own piece of New England heaven. The cottage has a king size bed in the master bedroom, and two twin beds in the loft. Pool, hot tub, fire pit, fields and trails are all available to you! The space The Farnum Hill Guest Cottage is 900 square feet. The bedroom has a king size bed. We keep a portable crib, extra towels, linens, toiletries, iron/ironing board in the bedroom closet. The kitchen has a full complement of pots and pans, dishware, utensils, and commonly used spices, seasonings, and condiments. In the loft are 2 twin sized beds. The loft is suitable for older children or agile adults who don’t mind accessing it by ladder and stooping in the sloped ceiling quarters. The cottage, originally uninsulated, has been fully renovated. It is heated and cooled by Mitsubishi mini splits, and is powered by a 7.5kW grid-tied, rooftop solar array. The host family live in the farmhouse adjacent to the cottage. Lebanon, NH has been the perfect place to raise 6 kids. Still at home are their 9, 12, and 17 year old kids. Also around each day is their friendly, aging Lab mix named Sunny and a cat named Oliver that can been seen sprinting between the house and the barns. The road is a dead end with the only neighbor over a quarter of a mile away. Across the dirt road is a 100 acre functioning apple orchard. We are surrounded by the nearly thousand acre Farnum Hill preserve. Enjoy miles of hiking, walking, and trail running trails. Farnum Hill is an idyllic pastoral setting but minutes from downtown Lebanon, Dartmouth College, I-89, and the municipal airport. NH Meals and Rentals Tax Operator's License 106013.
