Escape to a secluded 5BR cabin on 56 private acres near Lake Wappapello! Backed by national forest, this retreat features a hot tub, stocked pond, shooting range, pool table, large kitchen, open living room with fireplace, and a wraparound deck. Perfect for hunting, fishing, and relaxing with family or friends—just minutes from town and entertainment but feels a world away. With the charm of wilderness and the convenience of being close to town, it’s the ultimate year-round destination. The space The main level is an open concept with vaulted ceilings. It consists of the kitchen, dining area, half bath, living room, pool table, and master suite is outfitted with a king bed and has a walk in closet, soaking tub, and walk in shower. The upper level is made up of an open loft that overlooks the living room with a bedroom on each side. These rooms both have their own walk in closet and full bath. One room is outfitted with a queen bed and the other has a full bed. The basement is not walk out but it does offer a large open area and two additional bedrooms. It has natural concrete exterior walls, lifeproof flooring, and an additional pool table. One bedroom is outfitted with a king bed and the other has a full bed. Please note, the basement is partially finished but accommodating for anyone who needs to use it. For additional guests, we have an oversized Lovesac sectional, a futon, and a queen size air mattress with pump. As you take in the amazing view out back, you’ll find a ton of friendly deer that are there almost every night. The stocked pond has produced four different kinds of fish, including but not limited to catfish, bass, and bluegill. Our amenities state that there is a bbq grill and we want to clarify that it is a propane flat top grill that you’re more than welcome to use. Our Cabin is 10 minutes from anywhere in town. It’s minutes from The Camp, which is an outdoor venue that often holds many concerts. Just down the road is Crab and Co. They are a great locally owned seasonal restaurant that has some of the best seafood around. 2 miles south of our place is Bullwinkles rustic lounge, where adults can unwind with a laid back local crowd. The Cabin is also about ten minutes from Lake Wapappello for any lake days you might want to enjoy! Our home does have a wrap around porch that does require a few stairs from ground level to enter the home. No smoking inside of the house. Any cigarette trash is to be discarded properly into the provided outdoor ashtrays. Any additional guests that differs from the initial booking request must be pre-approved by us. Please send a message in a timely manner if you plan to have anyone else joining you. Other things to note Our home does feature a steel target gun range, an archery range, and trap capabilities. A waiver will need to be signed prior to the use of these. If you are interested in shooting trap, please reach out so we can prepare our machine. There is a $25 day rental fee for the trap thrower.
