We are also one block from the paved Gitchi-Gami bike trail and one mile from the Superior Hiking Trail trailhead. Safe & Private Setting Located at the end of a quiet drive on family-owned land, our cottages offer an exceptionally secure retreat with no shared indoor spaces. On-Site Hosting & Care We live in the house next door for fast responses to any needs. We personally handle all cleaning to our high standards, using only unscented products for a fresh, neutral environment. Reliable Essentials We provide the comforts of home, including high-speed Wi-Fi, excellent water pressure, reliable power, and safe, drinkable tap water. Chef-Ready Kitchen A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a drip coffee maker (individually packed ground coffee provided). Simply bring your favorite groceries! Lake Views Relax on a large, shared front deck overlooking the lake—perfect for morning coffee or sunsets. Essential Amenities To simplify your packing, both units include a high-speed hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion. (Please remember to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.) Choose the Unit That Fits You: Agate: Features comfortable recliners, excellent lake views, and the option for an additional twin floor mattress (tatami style). Birch: Offers a hide-a-bed loveseat in the living area plus an additional loveseat in the bedroom. Guest access Guests can wander the gardens and woods behind the cottages. There's a fire pit and picnic table in the backyard, and guests are welcome to use them. There is a trail into the woods that leads up the hill to a bench with a great view of Lake Superior. To backpackers: we offer pickup and drop off service for our guests, charge 1$/min for the ride (round trip). To guests with big trailers: you can choose to park your trailer right down our drive way in public ATV parking so you have more space to turn around.
