Welcome to Porter's Pier! This is a spacious and private 3000 sq ft ranch style lakefront home on 2 acres with large back deck, private dock, and 10/10 views! Roads are state maintained straight to the driveway making travel and towing a breeze. The space This is a ranch style home making the whole home easily accessible for guests of all ages! HIGHLIGHTS OF THE HOME: -New floating dock that can accommodate one boat or jet ski -Boat launch 1 mile away at Harry DeHaven Park -Firepit with Adirondack chairs steps from the water with plenty of firewood -Indoor game room (pool, shuffleboard, TV, board and card games) perfect for kids, after the sun goes down, or times when the weather doesn’t cooperate -Two person infrared sauna -Due to septic system restrictions, 8 people max occupancy -Whole home generator to keep you comfortable during a power outage (additional guidance for use will be provided if necessary) • Radford University – 15 miles • Virginia Tech – 30 miles • Christiansburg – 19 miles • Grocery store – 14 miles • Gas station – 12 miles There are no stairs to the lake from the house BUT the house is on a hill (see pictures) so the walk back from the firepit/dock is uphill. There is a large metal building on the property that we actively use for woodworking. Guests will NOT be disturbed during their stay if we are working in the building. There is plenty of separation between the building and the home - think of it as another neighbor! Speaking of neighbors, please be respectful of our community. Our neighbors are amazing. Also please abide by Pulaski County quiet hours of 10 PM to 7 AM. Guest access Four bedrooms are accessible by guests. One bedroom and the garage are not accessible as these are used as storage spaces. Other things to note The exterior of the property is undergoing renovations but will not disturb your stay! HOUSE RULES: No dyes or glitter, please! DOGS: We currently allow two dogs per visit. There is a $50 nonrefundable pet fee per dog up to two dogs. A water bowl will be provided! We prefer no dogs on the furniture but designated dog towels will be available to lay on the couch in the event you have a couch dog. Dogs MUST be crated when guests are not home. PARTIES, EVENTS, EXTRA GUESTS: Due to this property running on a septic system, 8 guests MAX. Flush toilet paper ONLY - even "flushable" wipes can damage the septic system. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS ARE PERMITTED. A $500 fee will be charged if we determine an unauthorized party or event has occurred on the property. Based on the situation, guests may also be asked to vacate the property and will not be refunded for the remainder of their stay. WILDLIFE You may see wildlife while staying at Porter's Pier! Deer, bears, foxes, groundhogs, etc are found around the property. Please put trash in trash bins provided on the side of the house and do not leave trash bags outside. We also work really hard to keep critters out of the house BUT you may see spiders, stink bugs (ok will def see stink bugs), earwigs, etc but this is a normal part of living in the woods on the lake! Satellite WiFi is provided but may be slow. No illegal internet activity permitted. Ok actually no illegal activities permitted. Please smoke/vape OUTSIDE of the home and please do not leave cigarette butts behind. GAS: The kitchen stove and grill are gas operated. The gas fireplace in the living room is not for use. Use this property at your own risk! We are not responsible for injuries, damages, accidents, illnesses, or the loss of valuables on the property.
