Stillwing House is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Our stunning shoreline house is spacious and welcoming. The expansive deck and manicured lawns offer a picture-perfect view from the Cascades to the Seattle skyline, and Mt. Rainier. One of the best views on Bainbridge. From the moment you arrive, through a beautifully landscaped entrance, you’ll feel at home. If you can tear yourself away, it’s an easy walk to Manitou Beach and local shops, or a short drive to downtown Winslow. The space As you approach Stillwing House, you immediately feel that this place is cared for. Mature trees and landscaped gardens line the private driveway. You enter through a vaulted wood porch with a glass door that teases the view ahead. Walking in, you have a comfortable dining area and adjacent kitchen with an informal breakfast table. There’s everything you need to cook up a feast. Turn right and you’re in the center piece of the house. A large, open-area lounge with a wall of windows flanked by linen curtains that bring an air of sophistication to the incredible views that overlook the Puget Sound. In fact, you can experience this magnificent view from every room in the house! The lounge features two comfortable couches framing a large fireplace and TV. Throw open the garden doors to enjoy the incredible deck stretching the full width of the house. Spread out and enjoy the outdoor dining table, the Adirondack chairs to watch sun come up in the morning, the world go by, and city come to life in the evening. Step down onto a beautifully manicured lawn, surrounded by lush gardens. There’s even a viewing platform and seating area perched at the fenced boundary, with the water below. The primary bedroom is easily accessed on the ground floor directly from the living room. Two glass double doors can be left open during the day to emphasize that sense of space and comfort. The bedroom has its own private walk-in closet and an immaculate bathroom with a shower and jacuzzi tub. Two further bedrooms are found on the second floor, sharing a bathroom accessed from the stairway. One bedroom has a queen, while the other has a single bed. Please note that this room does not have a door. However, the other bedroom on this floor does have a door, and both rooms are separated from the primary bedroom, which is on the ground floor. Both look out over the garden, with views over the water. A smaller, third room is perfect for use as a reading room, yoga, or just a quiet space to gaze out at wildlife, or the hustle and bustle of shipping and pleasure boats on the Sound. In the summer, the whole house is air-conditioned to ensure a comfortable environment in all the rooms. Although Stillwing House has no direct beach access, it is conveniently located just around the corner from Manitou Beach and Rolling Bay Walk and beach. For supplies and conversation, you are in easy reach of the Rolling Bay community. Just a short walk through picturesque lanes or woodland trails, you will find a country store and other local shops, including a café and dining. Short-term Permit number: P-000150 Important details to note: 🚫Respect for the neighbors is top priority, so no parties or events are permitted. 🚫No smoking or vaping 🚫No more than 6 people on the property at one time. 🚫Quiet hours are between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. No loud noise should be made inside or outside the house during this time, as our home is in a quiet neighborhood. 🚫If any disruptions disturb the neighbors, guests will be asked to vacate the property, which may result in the cancellation of the remaining reservation. ⚠️ We live on an island where we experience the occasional power outage during the winter months. This usually lasts just a few hours. Guest access Self check-in and guests have access to the entire home. Other things to note For parents with small children, please note that the home is not childproofed and may not be suitable for all young children. The property includes interior stairs for Bedrooms 2 and 3, outdoor deck steps, and a viewing/seating area near the water's edge. Guests are responsible for supervising all members of their party, especially in outdoor areas. A hot tub is located on the property but is not operational and is not available for guest use. The hot tub area is accessible via steps and is not gated. Children should be supervised at all times in outdoor areas. This is a quiet residential neighborhood, and respect for our neighbors is very important. Parties or events are not permitted, and no smoking or vaping is allowed anywhere on the property. The home has been recently and thoughtfully renovated with great care. We kindly ask guests to treat the house as they would their own, with respect for the space, furnishings, and finishes. A maximum of 5 guests may be on the property at any time. Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, both inside and outside the home. Any disturbances that impact neighbors may result in guests being asked to vacate the property and cancellation of the remaining reservation. As we are on an island, occasional power outages can occur during winter months. These are typically short and last only a few hours.
