The space Amaca Beach Retreat - Puerto Vallarta South Shore is located between the jungle and the sea, in front of El Volador Beach in Quimixto. The hotel is made up of palapas, gardens, and independent spaces that preserve the natural character of Puerto Vallarta’s southern coast. Our Palapa Suites, Amor, Paz, and Alegría, are inspired by the nature and relaxed spirit of Quimixto. Each one features two double beds and can accommodate up to 4 guests, making them ideal for families, couples, or groups of friends. Their design combines traditional palm-thatched roofs, parota wood, natural stone, Mexican textiles, and handcrafted details. All suites feature a private bathroom, air conditioning, mosquito nets, safe, coffee maker, and clothing storage space. They are surrounded by tropical gardens and located just steps from the beach and the common areas of Amaca Beach Retreat. Guest access During your stay, you will have private access to your Palapa Suite and can enjoy the shared areas of Amaca Beach Retreat: • Beach in front of the hotel • Swimming pool surrounded by tropical gardens • Restaurant and beachfront service area from 8:30 AM to 8 PM • Sun loungers and relaxation areas • Hotel gardens and common areas • La Xala, our palapa for yoga and wellness activities, when it is not reserved for a private activity The hotel is located in Quimixto and has no road access. Arrival is by boat from Boca de Tomatlán. Before your stay, we will coordinate the schedule, meeting point, and instructions for the transfer with you. Upon arrival at the beach, our team will welcome you and assist you with your luggage. Some of these areas have set hours. For hotel policy reasons, these hours must be respected to ensure a harmonious experience for all guests. Other things to note Quimixto is a remote and authentic destination, perfect for those looking to disconnect from the urban pace and immerse themselves in nature. However, there are a few things you should consider before your arrival to make the most of this experience. *Location and Access* ✔ There are no roads; the only access is by boat from Boca de Tomatlán or Puerto Vallarta. This may require some physical effort when getting on and off the boat. ✔ Travel light; your best attire here will be a swimsuit, comfortable and lightweight clothing. ✔ You can depart from the following piers: Los Muertos Pier, Marina Vallarta, or Boca de Tomatlán (recommended!), and you must arrange this on your own and cover the additional cost. *Money and Basic Services* ✔ There are no ATMs in Quimixto. Bring cash, as not all places accept cards. We do accept cards or bank transfers. ✔ There are no pharmacies or doctors in the area. If you take essential medications or have allergies, bring them with you. We also recommend bringing your own personal first-aid kit. ✔ We recommend having travel insurance for any unforeseen circumstances. *Connectivity and Entertainment* ✔ This is a place to disconnect, so do not expect many entertainment options. ✔ There are no TVs in the house; here, the entertainment is the sea, the jungle, and the tranquility. ✔ We have Wi-Fi, but do not rely on being connected all the time. 🐾 *Pet-Friendly Policy* ✔ We accept dogs or cats with prior request and approval. ✔ Fee: $350 MXN per pet, per night. ✔ Only certified service animals are exempt (official documentation must be provided). ⚠️ Emotional support animals are not exempt. ✔ Pets are not allowed on beds, sofas, or furniture. 🌧️ *Weather and Tropical Conditions* ✔ We are located in a tropical area, so there may be heavy rain during the season and occasional power outages. ✔ Hurricane alerts are occasional but possible. ✔ If you booked during low season or with special rates, please remember that the applicable cancellation policies remain in effect. ✔ We recommend purchasing travel insurance if you would like additional protection against unexpected changes. *Nature and Precautions* Quimixto is a natural environment where local wildlife is part of the landscape.
