We also have a small convenience store in the lobby of the building. The pool is open daily from 10am to 7pm. This particular unit has 1 bedroom and one full bathroom. It has a king-sized bed and a futton. The building is located right in the middle of Condado, which is the main tourist section of San Juan. It is where most of the hotels and restaurants are located. We also have a supermarket two blocks south, and both Walgreen’s and CVS are within walking distance. There is also within walking distance many of the hotels, casinos, restaurants, bars and entertainment. I sometimes go 5 or 6 days without using my car. Rules: 1) No smoking inside the apartment. 2) No pets 3) Be mindful that most people in the building have work the next day. 4) Always wear shirts and shoes while inside the building. 5) If you are wet, use the cargo elevator. 6) You can drink alcohol and smoke in the pool area. However, no drinking or eating inside the pool and no glass containers in the pool area. 7) We have a group of manatees that frequently come to eat right behind our building. They come about once every two weeks. If you see them from your balcony, please do not go a try to touch them. They are harmless, however, it is a federal crime to bother them. It is also dangerous for them because we could transmit diseases to them. The same goes during the turtle nesting season. I am sure you would have a great vacation. Please let me know if you have any questions. Emilio Other things to note Important to Read Before Booking. We want you to have clear expectations, so please read: 1) This is not a hotel. This is a residential condo building. We do not have staff in the building. If there are any issues that happen in the apartment, please let us know and we will try to resolve them as quickly as possible. 2) We are less than 100 feet from the beach. The distance from the elevators to the sand is about 30 steps. You can hear the ocean from the balcony and the air smells like the beach. That also means that the breeze has small sand and salt particles. If you leave the windows open, beach dust will settle in the apartment. If you suffer from severe allergies, please make sure that a beach apartment so close to the ocean is right for you. 3) Also, being so close to the beach means that you may be able to experience some of the wildlife. We have manatees that occasionally feed behind our building, there are schools of fish that may be seen from your balcony (depending on how clear the water is that day), pigeons, pelicans, ospreys and other sea birds. At night, insects, such as moths, may be attracted by the light in your apartment and will enter through open windows. Mosquitoes are very rare, especially since all my units are at high floors and they do not fly to such heights. 4) If you are walking on the beach and see a small fenced section, that means that a sea turtle nested there. Please keep your dogs and children from it. 5) If your apartment has an open balcony, or open terrace, it might get dirty if it rains, or if a strong breeze blows sand in our direction. Our staff cleans each balcony or terrace before every rental, but open terraces and balconies may get sandy afterwards. Birds such as pelicans, ospreys, pigeons and doves fly over our terraces and occasionally even stop there. In fact, I once found a large fish on my 22nd floor terrace. I assume that a pelican, or an osprey, dropped it while flying over. 6) If there is a power outage in the neighborhood, the building has a generator for the common areas. There will be electricity in the elevators, hallways, lobby and there will be water in the apartment. However, there will not be electricity inside the apartment during a neighborhood power outage. Power outages are rare, but all of Puerto Rico has a very fragile electrical grid. 7) As mentioned, this is residential building with hundreds of apartments and hundreds of owners. We do not know what each owner will be doing during your vacation. There is always the chance that a neighbor, or the building will be doing work or construction in their apartment during your stay. The building does have limited hours when construction work is allowed. It is Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm. 8) If there is anything you need, just write to us through the app. For example, if you need extra towels, or extra toilet paper, etc…. just tell us. We can get you some free of charge. Do not be shy about those things. We always have extras. 9) If you break something, lose one set of keys, step on a remote and break it, etc…. just tell us. Things happen. It is no big deal. (We are going to notice anyway.) Please do not keep it to yourselves because it may cause us problems for the next rental. If you tell us, we can find a replacement. If you lose the building key, the cost to replace it is $50. That is how much the building charges us. 10) We do not enter the apartments after you have checked-in. If you need us to check something, we will send someone when you are there. We will only enter alone if you give us prior permission. Likewise, nobody will clean the apartments during your stay. 11) We want you to have an amazing time and almost all our guests do. However, if you are not OK with these things, please do not rent. We often find that most of the people who are unhappy had unrealistic expectations. For example, some expected a maid to show up daily and clean the apartment and bring them daily clean towels, or they expected us to take them out as tour guides, or pick them up at the airport. When you rent one of our units, it is as if that was your own beach apartment that you use on vacation. Feel free to ask as many questions if you are unsure.
