Your host, Carlos, is fluent in both Spanish and English, is a wealth of local knowledge and a fabulous cook. Every bungalow at Oceanic has ocean views from your bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and terrace where you can watch the whales as they pass by. Orientated to the north, you are always protected from the prevailing winds and the near-endless desert sun. There is excellent wifi in each bungalow too. The nearby tranquil town of Organos is less than one kilometre away and allows you the quintessential Peruvian experience. Here you can stock up on groceries and fresh fish at the wharf or you can try some traditional Peruvian food at one of the many restaurants. The party town of Mancora is a 15 minute drive north which has a variety of restaurants and bars that you can easily travel to by using public transport or moto-taxis. Oceanic provides a space that allows you to connect with the surrounding fauna. From whales to turtles, sea birds to sea lions, all of these wild creatures are right at your door. If you prefer to be in the elements, you can kite surf, snorkel and dive here. But if it’s surf you’re chasing, you can pick up a great break out the front of O C E A N I C at our beach Punta Veleros, or the perfect left at Cabo Blanco a 30 minute drive south.The wave is a hollow powerful left and is reckoned the "Peruvian Pipeline". We are 90 minutes from the Ecuadorian border and Tumbes airport, 45 minutes from Talara airport and the Pan American highway goes right through town, so you can jump right off the bus here!
