The River Room

🌿The River Room, a greenhouse experience! You are SURE to love our greenhouse escape where trees sway and the brook sings. Relax, recharge & enjoy nature! 🌿 The space Experience the serenity of The River Room- a charming, off-grid greenhouse hideaway, nestled beneath a canopy of trees, beside a babbling brook. This unique space invites you to slow down, reconnect, and breathe deeply. Whether you’re sipping coffee while the morning mist rolls over the brook or stargazing from the meadow, this spot will allow you to unwind. THE RIVER ROOM GREENHOUSE provides: water dispenser, nice quality linens, books, games, Jackery for charging, solar powered ceiling fan, solar powered pendant lamp, flashlight, headlamps. OUTDOOR SCREENED IN KITCHEN AREA- propane cooking stove, 2 one gallon water jugs, soap, sponge, wash bin, drying rack, trash can, cutting board, cups, paper plates, wine glasses, wine opener, eating utensils, French press, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, salt and pepper, paper towels,knife, cooler (no ice provided), a bistro table and two chairs. Please was your dishes before you leave. We don’t want to attract animals. OUTHOUSE - NO RUNNING WATER. There is a cedar shavings compost toilet for poo and a toilet for pee. Toilet paper, wipes, dry shampoo, deodorant, hand sanitizer, first aid kit and other miscellaneous toiletries will be provided. Hot outdoor shower at main house-short walk down the driveway. The shower closes at 7:30 pm. FIRE PIT - Wood will be ready to go for you. Firestarter in the outdoor kitchen bin. Relax and enjoy the warmth of the fire on a chilly night or treat yourself to some s’mores! 🌿Just nature🌿 Peaceful river just steps away for the perfect nature soundtrack! Wildflowers, paths, and hammock naps! 🌿Just nature🌿 THINGS TO NOTE: * No cell signal- However, we will have WiFi for 2026 season!! * One dog allowed for a $25 fee * NO cooking on fire-pit except marshmallows * Parking in front of greenhouse * No electricity for high-power devices (we provide lanterns and a solar charger). * Wonderful Outdoor shower with hot water available at main house. Shower closes at 7:30 PM *. 5 minutes from Clearwater Lake-beautiful lake for swimming, fishing and Kayaking * 20 minutes from Farmington, Maine * 15 minutes from Madison, Maine *. 45 minutes to Sugarloaf, Maine *. 1 hr to Rangeley, Maine *. 3.5 hours to Quebec City, Canada Grocery stores: Farmington Maine 20 minute drive Madison Maine 15 minute drive Please refer to my guidebook for more information. Guest access All of the property around the greenhouse and the broad walkway to the right through the property. The driveway can be used to walk up to the main house for outdoor shower. There are signs to follow. Other things to note A lot of love and energy is put into The River Room for people to enjoy so if you don’t VALUE the experience of off grid glamping please look elsewhere for accommodation.
